It wouldn't be a mod, it would be a hack. Certain classes have access to certain weapons and others are limited for a reason. What you propose would completely imbalance the game  if you talk about pvp, in pve - that's a different story. I know that a tactical can wield any weapon actually, even the heavy ones - but this is a competitive game, we need some kind of balance.

You want to use this mod in Ops with other people and gain class levels and weapon XP with it?  If so, Bladerunner is right, that's absolutely just a hack. 

Designers have been pretty clear on weapon restrictions being a design principle...so...

You're still progressing your account and unlocking things on it in their system.  Unfortunately that's still just a hack.  

I would avoid it if I were you, especially if you're not sure.

I am absolutely avoiding it, I assure you. I would not use this mod without the dev's blessing, which is why I made this thread. Hoping to find out definitively if the devs would allow or punish it.

It works Online (not that you should use it online) and no one has reported getting banned yet, that is not the purpose of my question. Nor do I want to use it alone, but rather with friend groups in private lobbies.

I am asking if the Devs intend to crack down specifically and intentionally on people using that mod.

I am not worried about EAC catching it, since EAC is notoriously useless

In private/offline games I see no problems personally.
But it is when people take those mods into online games with randoms it becomes a problem.
I've seen people defend it saying "it's only PvE." That doesn't change the fact that there are mods that alters how the game is played and not everyone wants those mods effecting their time in the game.
So if people use mods, use them responsibly and respect those around you.

These are my personal opinions ofc. What the official stance is would be good to hear.

I agree entirely. I am really hoping they can spare 2 minutes to let us know if they intend to crack down on anyone using it privately.
