Brothers in Arms,

after several missions by your side, I start missing the huge battlefields in this very century. Don't get me wrong, the emperors will above all, but while other Chapters fight the huge scale battles we're on three Astates Killteam recon, spec ops missions...

So Brothers, I submit this application to Saber Interactive:


Captain,

ain't it possible for parts of the chapter to drive those traitor-chapters, tyrranids and other enemies back in the void or at least in thier own blood in bigger scaled missions?

I thought of something like "procedual generated mission parameters" (I heard of it on Mars and the Adeptus Mechanicus)

  1. The planets/regions we have to conquer or defend won't ever be the same. 
  2. The enemies might overcome us one by 100 or 1000 - but FOR THE EMPEROR let them come! 
  3. Even if Traitors (PvPvE Mode?) are among them, they will fall.
  4. The usage of our ressources in vehicles, Dreadnoughts or even Titans would show those Xenos who rules this galaxy.
  5. Our Brothers in Arms with their known classes (inGameClasses of SpaceMarine2), Sisters of Battle and the Imperial Army should fight side by side (Class-System?) some examples follow:
  6. 4.1 - Sisters of Battle (light fighting, buffing Class)
  7. 4.2. - Apothecarius (Healer, reviving Class)
  8. 4.3. - Imperial Army officer (Soldier-Summoner, call in reinforments/artillery etc Class)
  9. 4.4. - Imperial Army / Chapter Pilots (Vehicle Combat)
  10. 4.4.1. - NOTE: Our Armory might be extended with countermeassures against vehicles then
  11. Invasionevents / Events or procedual MissionGoals / Enemy-Wave-Systems could be additive interesting then?
  12. seasonal cosmetics (heraldic for campaigns)

Long speech short meaning:

A Mode 10vs10vsE or a 10vsE Mode like upcoming Horde-Mode could be structured like a rouge-lite MMO / huge scale shooter (like Battlefield) - If your Character dies he/she loses everything earned on the battlefield except: Honor (XP) to level their base loadout, earned heraldic, cosmetics or skills - but the battlefield always offers better stuff: The Emperor takes care...

The fights take place on procedual genereated battlefields (Starfield - Bethesda) on planets with handcrafed strongholds which may fall season after season (reset after a season) or an evolving battlefield (Gamemaster like JOEL in Helldivers2 who sets major goals to establish controll over a system/planet/region) - In 42k there is only war... It may evolve I think, that would be cool.


Please consider this suggestion as a dream, I am fully aware that it would be the material for a new game. But good games make you dream, bad ones don't. I also take time here to further improve something that is so well crafted. With this in mind - many thanks to the developers and the great community.

This seems like a HUGE undertaking tbh. I like your idea, but I don't think it really fits with SM2. 


I personally prefer handcrafted linear missions like we have in Operations. As for your class system idea, I'm not sure how that would work very well with what we already have. I'd love to play as a Sister of battle or even a guardsman, but that seems like something for a whole other game. With how popular the game is, it may have knocked 40k out of it's niche and made room for even more good 40k games to come, such as something similar to what you're talking about.  I do really like your enthusiasm though!
