So when's the next content drop?

I feel as if we're being drip fed here. There doesn't seem to be a lot of content making it's way in recently. Don't get me wrong, I loved the new mission, and the survivor helmet, but it was kind of barebones. I'd love to see more unlockable cosmetics soon, maybe give me some initiative for beating the campaign on the hardest difficulty or something. I don't know if it's just me or what, but it just feels like there is a huge lack of cosmetic content.

I wonder if we have to play again +40 successful missions to regain every bit of cosmetic like the previous one. Just asking, because as a SpaceWolves enjoyer, it'll be a lot of playing. It's Dark Angels now, after this it's Raven Guard, then White Scars, etc.

The roadmap said "New PVE missions" for Season 2, so we should be getting at least another map by the end of the year.

Plus there's the "New enemy" and the Volkite pistol to come.

Doesn't that feel a little small for a season?

Well, the game got a huge success, and I think the devs did not expect that much success. Which is a good point.

So I imagine they follow their initial roadmap, taking their Time to hear the community.

But I hope that the content will drop faster and/or "bigger" in the next few months. I can accept a slow wave of content till the end of 2024, early 2025, but then I think many people would be tired of the game.

With all that money they can invest and recruit some people to make the game even better.

I cant wait for the horde mode, but more PvE missions, as well as new classes faster would be great. And the faster, the better :)

Potentially silly question, but has the Dark Angels stuff released yet? If not, when is that and the neo volkite pistol meant to drop?

Apparently "Season 2" is until roughly the end of the year. Based on what they've said is in Season 2 vs. what they've dropped so far I'm guessing monthly updates. And no, the Dark Angel pack and Volkite pistol hasn't dropped.

It's already been figured out what the next enemy is, and therefore which faction the next mission will be. I won't spoil it for people wanting to wait for the official release (same with all the different chapter armour) so just look it up if you're curious. Those who have finished the campaign should also have a good idea what at least one of the upcoming missions should be as you keep in touch with the Operations team throughout.

Not really much to spoil, as there was clips towards the end of the latest trailer where Operation Characters were running on a currently unavailable map. So what mission/enemy we'll be facing is already in plain sight. But not what the new enemy will be ofc.

We are being drip fed - and sadly it's impacting overall numbers - I think.
I'm watching the SteamCharts drift slowly down because I think people have hit the content wall.  Meanwhile, a semi-comparable game like Helldivers is trending upwards.
I think Saber was not anticipating this level of success and community - so they crafted a roadmap accordingly.  However, I think they need to alter their plans and really start committing to more content drops and faster.
They don't have to be massive content drops - just things we can do and earn.  Minor cosmetic items.  Etc.
Also, they really need to address the Ideas board.  Start refining that backlog and move things around accordingly.  I'd rather them come out and say these ideas are not going to happen than let them sit there unread.

I sincerely agree with your sentiment. I really hope they start going that way.

100% agree.  With the major success of the game, they need to definitely make adjustments to the initial Road Map and increase the amount of new content planned and also speed up the timeline for release of already announced content.   For example, new Operations maps and Horde Mode need to be prioritized big time and not wait until sometime in 2025 TBA to be released.   And in the meantime smaller activities, cosmetics, things to do should be implemented while we wait.

There's nothing wrong with them changing the Road Map, I'd respect them for doing it as I'm sure they know things are going differently and also better than expected. I'd also be interested to see if they did a survey to see what sort of things on the roadmap people are most interested in as this would help them reorder things.

• Another update is coming soon with a brand new weapon: The Neo-Volkite Pistol

• Later this year – around early-December – will come the much awaited Dark Angel Chapter Pack, along with a new enemy, the Tzaangor Enlightened and a new PvE map set on Demerium: “Obelisk”.

Very exciting!

In a perfect world, we would get a new Operations map every 2-3 months.   Horde Mode is the biggest possible game changer.
