Because we didnt get actual perk rework for Assault in 6.0(Perks were only buffed, the best perks remained the best, the worst perks remained the worst), i write this with hope that devs will actually do someting about Assault perks in 7.0
This is my view on what Assault perks should be
I didnt bother with changing perks name so they will remain the same in my list.


CORE
WINGED FURY – Reworked
Old Effect: 40% damage for sprint/dash attacks
New Effect: Melee attacks executed while sprinting or dashing apply debuff to enemy which makes them take 20% more damage for 2.5 seconds

Thoughts: Sprint/Dash attack damage is super low, its 6-10 damage on relic on all weapons. If you add weapon perks and some class perks including this 40%, it will be 15-20 which is the same as BASE RELIC light attack damage for most weapons. With current version of this perk there is no reason to use this perk, so instead it would make much more sense to use dash attack as an opening in the fight. Think of it as you dash attack enemy and it staggers enemy so he loses balance for 2.5 second allowing you to deal more damage to him.


AUXILIARY ARSENAL – Buffed

Secondary Weapon’s Damage insreased by 5% (15% -> 20%)


PERSEVERANCE – Reworked
Old Effect: 15% Health Damage Reduction while performing charge attacks
New Effect: Charge attacks charge 25% faster

Thoughts: 15% Health Damage Reduction doesn’t do anything because you need a lot of time to fully charge Hammer Aftershock or Chainsword Full Throttle or even Power Fist(Tho its now faster because of buffs in 6.0). Faster Charge Rate not only do the same thing as 15% Health Damage Reduction(Which is sustain during charging attacks. You can take less damage during it OR just charge them faster) but also makes Chainsword and Hammer Charge Attacks more usable by buffing their super long charge time.


ACT OF ATTRITION – Reworked
Old Effect: Enemies hit by your Melee Attacks take 10% more damage for 3 seconds
New Effect: Enemies hit by Ground Pound or Jump Pack Dodge take 25% more damage for 5 seconds.

Thoughts: The way this perk works right now is completely useless so this change might make it usable when combined with other perks.


TEAM
SQUAD COHESION – Buffed
Abilities recharge 5% faster (10% -> 15%)


GEAR
SMITING ANGEL – Reworked
Old Effect: 10% Ground Pound Damage
New Effect: Ground Pound deals 25% less damage, but its radius increased by 50%

Thoughts: Just think about it, this 10% doesn’t do anything, they don’t hit any breakpoints, it doesn’t help you in any other way, its just useless. There is 2 ways how you build Ground Pound assault right now. One is for hitting single targets with Ground Pound which is PRECISION STRIKES and other one is for horde clearing with Ground Pound which is HAMMER OF WRATH. There is no reason to take SMITING ANGEL. With this change, I want to make SMITING ANGEL a horde clear perk, while PRECISION STRIKES will remain as single target damage and HAMMER OF WRATH as middle ground between them.


WINGS OF FLAME – Reworked
Old Effect: Jump Pack Dash damages enemies along its trajectory and always works as Perfect Dodge when dodging an attack
New Effect: Restore 5% Ability Charge for each enemy hit by Jump Pack Dodge

Thoughts: Changed Old Effect of WINGS OF FLAME moved in AERIAL GRACE. I want to make this perk to be another way to reduce cooldown of your ability to match other 2 perks in this column (MANEUVERABILITY and ZEALOUS BLOW).


MANEUVERABILITY – Buffed
Jump Pack recharges 5% faster (20% -> 25%)


DILIGENCE – Reworked
Old Effect: Fully prepared Ground Pound deals 20% more damage, but preparation time increases by 25%
New Effect: After performing fully prepared Ground Pound your Melee Damage increases by 25% for 10 seconds, but preparation time of Ground Pound is inscreased by 25%

Thoughts: The way DILIGENCE works now is just worse version of PRIDE IN DUTY. It does the same thing but just worse so there is no reason to take it right now. I don’t want to just buff the damage of DILIGENCE but instead I want to give it another way to use it. With reworked DILIGENCE you can use Ground Pound as openning to fight vs horde of enemies and this will also work well with HAMMER OF WRATH. 


AERIAL GRACE - Reworked
Old Effect: Jump Pack Perfect Dodge increase all damage by 30% for 10 seconds
New Effect: Any use of Jump Pack Dodge increases all Damage by 10% and Attack Speed by 5% for 10 seconds and also refreshes duration of this buff. Stacks 4 times up to 40% Damage and 20% Attack Speed.


SIGNATURE

ASCENSION – Reworked
Old Effect: Jump Pack Leap deal Damage to all enemies in the takeoff area
New Effect: Jump Pack Leap restores all Contested Health

Thoughts: Current ASCENSION is not really useful and people complain about assault sustain so this change might help with this. Should work the same as Sniper PURIFICATION        


COMMITMENT – Reworked 
Old Effect: Jump Pack Perfect Dodge restores one Ability Charge
New Effect: Jump Pack Dodge now cost 1/2 charge. Jump Pack Dodge leaves trail of fire along its trajectory for 5 seconds. This fire trail damages all enemies standing in its radius. (Damage scales with Difficulty. Damage should be the same as Bulwark PURITY OF PURPOSE, maybe a little less)

Thoughts: Right now, by doing Jump Pack Dodges you actually ruin your game because you don’t get bonuses from parrying/blocking(Which is 50% bonus damage on parry and 90% bonus damage per block charge). With these changes to COMMINTMENT, AERIAL GRACE and WINGS OF FLAME I want to make jumppack dodges as good alternative to Ground Pound. You will get decent horde clear from Fire Trails, get damage and attack speed bonuses by constantly stacking AERIAL GRACE and get Cooldown Reduction from WINGS OF FLAME. In my opinion it’s a good trade for super strong damage/horde clear Ground Pound has.
