I love SnowRunner and how it feels to drive the trucks in that game. I have watched many demo playthroughs and think this game has a lot of potential, and I am also aware that it is not meant to be a "Snowrunner 2". I agree with those who are concerned that the game may be too "arcadey" without the implementation of fuel and damage, but I propose that they use a similar mechanic to that in Forza Horizon 4 (and probably the other Forza games; I have only played the one).

Different settings (like damage and fuel) can be toggled on and off, but when turned on, the rewards for contracts are increased slightly (roughly 5 percent, like in Forza). This way, those who want a less grindy, more fun-focused playthrough can do so without a significant deterrent, as they earn standard rewards. Those who opt for the more difficult playthrough, sort of like a customizable hard mode, are rewarded slightly more; that way, they can feel accomplished for earning more for their harder work. This way, both parties are rewarded and feel benefitted by their customizable settings. A playstyle that fits everyone, while encouraging newcomers with easier difficulty and also catering to veterans who want a harder playstyle (and rewards for the increased risk)
