We already have hotkey options for the gearbox, and I, for one, use those 100% of the time, because many times my mouse is not precise enough and gets stuck when I try to shift.


However, sometimes, when I'm in a truck that doesn't have an offroad gearbox yet, I often accidentally hit the key for Low+ while reversing, and instead of changing directions, I crash the back of the truck...


There could be an easy fix for this and other similar situations.


If the player presses the hotkey for Low+ or Low- on a truck that doesn't have it, the gearbox could correct it by switching to Low. Also trying to switch to High on a truck that doesn't have it, could switch to Auto forward instead. Basically doing the closest approximation of what the player was trying to do, instead of doing nothing when the certain gear is not available on the currently equipped gearbox.
