My KSIVA code is 84bfb
On the release of the game the connection quality was fine, however over the past month or two whenever I play with my friends, I get exactly 170 ping all the time and I have the red connection bars in the top right. The game has a distinct lag to it that's very annoying. Like about a half second delay between shooting a gaunt in the head and having it react and die. The lag only appears in mission, and I have normal ping while in the battle barge area.
I live in Toowoomba, Australia, and the two friends I play with live in Brisbane and Toowoomba (this is very close by) and they both get 30-40 ping.
While testing the issue myself and trying to resolve it, I found that I do not get this lag when I use quickplay and play with random people online; it only happens when I play with my friends. If I host my own private lobby in PVE and load into a mission, I get 8ms ping.
Curiously, I've found that if I host a private lobby and have my friends hotjoin, I don't get the lag bug. But this is very inconvenient to do for every single mission.
I've updated and power cycled my router. I've uninstalled Space Marine 2 and re-installed it (This caused it to re-ask for firewall permissions, which I granted) I just use Windows Defender without a third party antivirus, so it's not an antivirus messing with the system. I have a 3080 TI, AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D, and 64GB RAM and an SSD, so I don't think it's performance related. I have 90 fps on pretty high settings.
