Plasma weapons no longer registering headshots

Up until patch 6, plasma weapons could activate certain headshot based perks (Marked For Death, Squad Renewal, etc.), even though their headshots did not do any bonus damage. This is no longer the case on the PTS. Is this an intentional change?

I conducted a short experiment and confirmed that "melta rifle" and "plasma pistol" can not trigger headshot judgment like in version 6.X of the game


And confirmed that this glitch has nothing to do with the perk "ACUITY".


What cannot be confirmed now is whether "volkite pistol" generates volkite to trigger headshot judgment. In version 6.X of the game, "volkite pistol" can be used to generate volkite to kill Tzaangor, thereby triggering headshot judgment, and with the sniper's perk "squad renewal", Bulwark can quickly restore the "chapter banner"


If the 7.X version of the game will modify this setting, it will be a huge nerf to the sniper's perk "squad renewal".


In versions 5.X and 6.X of the game, I really like to use "melta rifle" with the sniper's perk "squad renewal". I can use "scan" almost uninterruptedly

Good points above, maybe transfer the headshot stuff to a hit box sector rather then a weapon type that way even if these weapons that don't get extra headshot dmg can still trigger effects that actually hit the "hit box of the head" enabling them to still trigger. this would also be handy for tactical's marked for death perk when using all plasma primary and secondary options, this is a fun build and would force you out of that perk under current workings or force you play a bullet side arm just to make the perk work.
