No matter what method I try my progress is stuck at a certain point. This has been the same for over a week. It was the same before and after the recent patch. It is consistently reproducible. I have the latest patch and latest PS5 firmware.

After finishing a mission I have tried many different methods to quit: Quit mission early, wait till return to barge, returning to my own battle barge, quitting to main menu, quitting game all together. But when I reload the game it will always reloads the same old save game and my recent progress is lost.

It's like the game has decided to always load one particular old savegame.

Occasionally it will tell me there is a message on game startup "can’t sync my saved data due to a conflict". After this message I have tried using the local data option, I have tried using the cloud data option. Either way it always loads the old savegame where my progress is lost.

So I cannot progress the game, and I have little incentive to play anymore.

Can't there be a manual save function in the game?

I tried more troubleshooting:

- I removed cloud auto sync for the save games so that it is only stored on my console - Didn't work, online progress still being lost

- I tried not quitting the game: I made online progress, quit to the main menu, chose 'continue' from the main menu straight away without closing the game - Progress still lost

More trobleshooting:

- I deleted all cloud storage save information: Made online progress, quit to main menu, chose 'continue' without quitting the game - Online progress still lost

- I closed the game, copied all console save info to the cloud, deleted console storage save information: Made online progress, quit to main menu, chose 'continue' without quitting the game - Online progress still lost

More troubleshooting:

- I removed cross-play : I made online progress, waited till it was at the battle barge, quit to the main menu, chose 'continue' from the main menu straight away without closing the game - Progress still lost, armor color changes never saved.

Does anyone actually look at the comments in this forum? Why do I see no responses from the developers?

I play games on ps5.

There are no problems with my solution yet.

1. quitting to main menu.

2. press X buttons and continue.

3. data confirm and quitting to main menu again.

4. quit application.

5. shutdown ps5.
