The recent patch 3.0 has created a new bug at the battle barge

After the cutscene of the plane flying off, the screen goes black

There is the sound of walking around, but the screen is totally black.

Is it just an oceanic player issue? Are players from other regions affected as well?

Are there plans to fix this problem soon? 

The game is almost unplayable at this stage

Same.  Its pretty annoying waiting for three blind mice to find a square in a dark room.

This, and the losing connection to Online Services, whilst waiting for battle brothers is really letting the game down.

On average I get a PVE battle one out of four trys.

Need to be fixed.

When I'm in a group the mission launches fine. If I'm solo in private mode or not I get the black screen on mission launch and pretty much have to alt f4 and restart the game, annoying af since most of the time you can't get a group for the operations so can't play this mode at all
