Gyro aim PS5

I don't believe we are getting gyro aim at launch. I second this motion for gyro aim to be added to  Space Marine 2. It's a major accessibilty and preference issue.


If accessibility and preferences have to be sacrificed for "balance reasons." That isn't the right compromise. 😑

I definitely 3rd this motion.  Gyro aim is major for me.  Makes shooters so much more intuitive and enjoyable.

This is a huge thing for me. A lot of games on the PS5 are already getting it at launch, or shortly after. HD2 had it already from the get go, others like Fortnite and The Finals added it later and we already can use it. This really brings a gamepad performance to be on par with a mouse and keyboard when it comes to reactions and aiming, so that would be beneficial to PvP also.

What do we need to do to attract attention to this topic? Petition? I'm down for anything. Gyro is a gamechanger. And for such game that require good skills its a must have. I can't get that fun and joy and precise shots without gyro aiming. I had to go mele classes instead. And good Sniper gameplay experience is just unaccessible for the same reasons. Ow yes, the PvP situation - Crossplatforming is a deathwish. PC got Instant x2 advantage from shooting. It's such a bummer to know that experience from the game could be at least twice as good.

Devs need to try Gyro play by themselves. Or if they are playing on PC I'm willing to steal all their mouses and give controllers insted so they would feel our frustration.

Absolutely! It's peak frustration! Stick aim, isn't fun to me anymore. I believe many feel the same way. They are cutting out a significant portion of potential players from buying and playing. As all the Helldiver 2 crossover players are already backtracking on this game. So, many of them won't stick around after the hype. Especially, if HD2 gets back on track. HD2, also have gyro aim as a option coincidently. At the same time many gyro players are holding off on puchasing Space Marine 2 on PS5. It just seems like a huge miss for a game like th to launch without modern control options.


It's unfortunate the devs won't even acknowledge gyro aim with any kind of statement or position on the matter officially. Simply seeming to ignore it. To launch a game like this with outdated control options.


Also, there are 4 gyro aim requests under the "ideas" tab. You might want to support those post too. Just type in "gyro aim" in the search bar in the "ideas" section and they should appear.

HD2 is still my top 1 preferred shooter in the genre. Yes, it is repetitive. We all get used to it. Nothing new for a long time isn't happening. If not Gyro aiming i wouldn't spend even close to that 350h+ in the game. 50h would be max. But as soon as the gyro was toggled on the game from arcade mode gameplay went fully to high-class space FPS allowing me to enjoy most high difficulty levels. I probably couldn't go further than mid+ difficulty levels (7) without gyro aim assist. That's why I'm a bit worried about trying Space Marines 2 on Veteran.

Just commenting to bump this - Gyro is one of the best features I have ever experienced on console. After some years of use, I can confidently hold my own against PC players in Quake deathmatches, including some of the ID Software staff on a Quakecon stream last year. 


Please, please consider adding it to this and future releases!

I'm not gonna knock it, bc KB/M has advantages too. But let's all be honest and stop calling it accessibility. It isn't parity either. It's a massive advantage and that's why you want it. It's okay to say that. I want it too. but it's never going to happen for PC controllers.

Any updated news about the devs potentially adding Gyro Aim???  This is a major reason why I'm holding off purchasing it on PS5--and was one of the reasons I got Helldivers 2.  Would be nice if a dev or community manager at least acknowledged this on whether or not there's any intention of adding it to the game.

This is a PC focused dev studio and not a console/PS5 focused dev studio. They aren't going to add a feature specific to PS into their game.
