Get rid of them, they are the worst enemy I've ever faced in any videogame ever. Fire the person who designed them. An enemy that most players are both unable and unwilling to engage should not be so effing pervasive. I cant go a run without at least 2 encounters with Zoanthropes, they float around soaking up damage and ammunition from the 3 classes that can actually hurl damage and ammunition at them. They're awful enemies. Stop making us fight them.

I like fighting them - they are a unique challenge and prevalent in the lore. More annoying when its the twins and one is shielding the other admittedly, but I dont want them gone...


Krak grenades are my favourite for dealing with them. The Sniper, Tac, Heavy and Vanguard have obvious options for dealing with them. Admittedly Assault and Bulwark are weaker options but the Heavy pistol and Plasma pistol still work.


Watching them try to float away when you execute them and grabbing them by the tail to drag them back is pretty satisfying to!

Okay, so a Sniper with Krak grenades can deal with them, provided they don't run out of ammunition fighting the other threats encountered in the game... Zoanthropes don't exist in a vacuum, and I don't play a sniper.

Constructive criticism is overrated, most dummies don't recognize it when it's presented in the first place, like when someone suggests a particular foe doesn't mesh with half the classes in the game and should be removed.

I have a level 25 Assault, level 1 everything else.  I want Zoanthropes to stay.  It's a unique extremis to have to deal with, and I like having uniqueness mixed in, even if I don't find any Kraks and have to just shoot it with a heavy bolt pistol.

You sound like you're complaining. They aren't going to just get rid of them, they're in the game. How about you instead come up with a balance idea?

i would say this thread is a form of a personal attitude. Zoanthrope is just another type of enemy, i personally found nothing special about.

It is hard if you have 3 meele against them, but yet -they go near ground where you can meele. @Source44 get yourself a team in voicechat, and you will have a fine time dealing with them.

No. A sniper OR any class with krak grenade. How did you not get that. Also, bulwark with plasma pistol can smoke them. Vanguard with instigator can smoke them. Heavy with anything but a multi-melta can smoke them. Tactical with half of his weapons can smoke them and/or auspex them so anyone can smoke them. Assault is the only one struggling whatever the loadout.... except if he picks up krak grenades.
And you call people dummies. Hilarious.

Also... Zoas are iconic nids. 


And bolt pistols do fine damage. This is a very strange thing to complain about.

The main problem with zoanthropes is that there is often no time left for them. You either have to fight in close combat with a horde of tyranids, or dodge and fire at opponents with rifles. And then fat flying opponents appear, which are often simply impossible to aim the camera at, not to mention bringing them to a red state. And they can also hit the area. Personally, my suggestion is to at least reduce their health by 20%

The issue with zoanthropes and Neurothropes that they are unbelievably tanky and eat up all your ammo. I also believe plasma guns are buggy vs Zoans but not the Neuros. Which is a problem if thats the case.

I feel they should reduce the green balls they shoot down from 4 to 2-3. They take away any momentum you have and having to spam dodge isn't fun.
