Here I am again, reporting yet another frustrating issue. Just like in a previous report I made about a bothersome limitation—how you can’t spec weapons independently for different classes (e.g., if you use a chainsword setup for the Tactical class, the Vanguard automatically gets the same setup, preventing you from diversifying perks based on class)—we’re facing a similar situation here. These types of frustrating mechanics should be addressed by the devs as soon as possible.

I want to report a very frustrating bug that heavily impacts the gameplay experience, especially during intense moments. It concerns the use of special abilities during combat.

The issue occurs when you press the ability button, and for some reason, you need to stop moving entirely for the ability to activate. This happens even if you're not shooting or attacking in melee—just moving around. Often, when you press the ability button while moving, the ability doesn't activate unless the player stands completely still for about a second.

Unfortunately, this single second can mean the difference between life and death, especially in lethal difficulty. For example, when fighting the Hive Tyrant and your teammates are down, you're left alone and barely holding on. You're waiting for your cooldown (e.g., camo) to finish. When it’s ready, you press the button to activate it, but because you're moving, the ability doesn’t activate.

If you stop moving to activate the ability, you’re immediately hit and killed because you're an easy target. If you keep moving, the AI’s predictive model can anticipate your actions. Even strafing or dodging might not save you, as the Hive Tyrant or the asynchronous timing of ranged attacks from other Tyranids—like Termagants or Warriors—will still hit you. This makes survival almost impossible in such situations.

If the ability worked properly while moving, you could use it to dodge, reposition, and survive, potentially saving your teammates and continuing the fight. This issue affects multiple abilities, such as camo, auspex, banner and even the Iron Halo (which, by the way, the heavy class shouldn't have because it’s not meant for them but for officers/captains or special characters! also heavy or devastator DONT USE IRON HALO IN GAMESWORKS MINIATURES OR IN LORE).

Many players can likely confirm that pressing the ability button while moving often doesn’t work, or worse, doesn’t register at all.

Please address this issue, as it significantly impacts the fluidity and enjoyment of the game, especially in high-stakes scenarios.
