I don't understand block/parry, with some characters, I see blue circle, I block, do not take damage, enemy is stunned, I shoot head. With other classes I see blue circle, I block, the character blocks, but it takes damage and the enemy is not stunned, what is the difference?, I block and the animation shows that the enemy weapon bounces and is the same animation of other classes when it does not take any damage, but in other classes it does take damage and enemy is not stunned bulwark and tactical specially (i'll update if i discover other class)

Main thing is check your weapon. In the armory interface there will be something that says either Block, Balance, or Fencing. These are the three parry types, each has a different timing for "perfect."

Bulwark has a very slightly different timing in that his parry button is also the shield stance button which causes a little animation where he first pulls up his shield then does the parry so you have to hit parry slightly before you normally would on him. Other than that everything should be the same. Functionally I have never noticed a difference but many others have so that may be what you are noticing.

In addition to what was mentioned above, if you use a Fencing or Balance weapon, you can perform a Perfect Parry on an incoming attack (except for red ones). This will block the damage, stagger the enemy, and allow you to execute a Gun Strike (a shot to the head), which can restore 1 segment of armor .

With Block weapons, you can perform a Perfect Block on an attack. While this won't stagger the enemy, it will block the damage and grant you one charge. Once you accumulate two charges, your next melee attack will have an AOE effect (a big explosion) and will also restore 1 segment of armor.

It will stagger SIGNIFICANTLY tzaangors both shield and non-shield versions (not the enlightened though) like if you perfect block them the bounce off you with a yellow flash. Not sure if it is a bug or what but I ain't complaining.

parry/ block system was cooked from day 1. It's still cooked and will always be a cooked game mechanic until they widen its time window.

Lmao the parry windows is some of the most lenient in video game history and you think it's not enough? Do you really know how to parry or do you just press blue when you see it appear? The blue Doesn't indicate the timing, only the type of attack - usually it means it has higher damage and cannot be tanked through with passive poise.

the melee system is hot garbage. The rejects in Darktide can take a Space Marine from this game. at least, it feels that way, which is not good

The enemies in darktide for the most part are insignificant compared to what we're fighting in SM2.  SM2 mechanics give you all the tools to be successful in any fight and run through hundreds of enemies.  It's up to the player to become proficient with them or find a difficulty level that works for them. It's not handed to you by stats and equipment.

come back down to reality. it's the most complained about feature of the game - go back through the forums, Reddits, YouTubes on and on and on

it's inconsistent across all enemy types and difficulties

is consistently tampered with each update

it often just fails to register

it's subjected to animation lock

I could go on
