Suggestion for SM2/3: Add alternative paths (shortcuts) available to specific classes on maps

Was suggested to post this here from the Reddit. 

To surmise the original thought; either in future (or current) SM2 maps, and/or just a part of SM3, maps should have specific interaction opportunities depending on your class. The original threat was making fun of a Techmarine letting you skip a tedious "wait for assembly" section, but I actually think that's a good basis to build off of. 


Jump Pack (Assault) and Grapple (Vanguard) should be able to use their vertical mobility to reach an area other classes can't normally to open an optional path the entire team can take to 'skip' a section that might otherwise be a bottleneck. (I immediately had this idea on release, hoping to find secrets, especially on missions on Kadaku, the jungles would be ripe with opportunity.)  Imagine if on Decapitation (kill the Hive Tyrant), instead of taking the winding final section before the boss fight, Vanguard/Assault have a point they can interact with to jump across to where we see the Hive Tyrant limping into the tunnels, and they let down a bridge for Squad Veridian to cross and take a direct route to the preparation area before the boss fight. 


As mentioned, a Techmarine would likely be able to skip some section like the second major area of Reliquary (where you have to guide a servo-skull to different bodies hoping one of them has a viable power source), the Techmarine being able to provide such a thing innately (unsure about the narrative of this, but I hate that section lol)


Bulwark (Banner/Shield) could possibly pray to a statue or the like, opening a hidden path behind it. The first place to implement something like that is Vox Liberatis' large 'pool' section just before the elevator, skipping the elevator section entirely and providing a tunnel leading straight to the sanctum before the Daemonhost boss fight. If a chaplain were to be added, they'd like share these.


Tactical and Heavy should straight up just be able to blow a hole through a cave wall and lead to another area. Narratively I don't think this one needs much justification, as Tactical's auspex would be able to see hidden tunnels, and Straban (Heavy) would probably enjoy breaking something down for the fun of it. Maps that could make use of this on first thought are probably Obelisk and Inferno. I would even consider Sniper in this section, closer to Tactical in that his equipment enables finding these extra paths, he would probably be closer to Vanguard in what he can do in total though.


This all isn't to say every map should have an opportunity for every class to skip some major section, despite my earlier comment I do actually enjoy playing every single section of the game. I don't think every map should be riddled with these either, 1-2 per map to just serve as an opportunity to let gameplay and storytelling intersect in such a way that's both optional and useful. The different equipment and armour team Veridian is endowed with should change how they approach these missions, and this would be a simple (from the player's perspective) way to demonstrate who they are and why there's a difference between "Vanguard Phobos" and "Gravis Marine". At the moment the distinction is lost in all the "gun shoot bug"


I recognize this is actually a lot of work to put in, especially retroactively, on the Dev's end, so even if something like this got greenlit I wouldn't expect it to be added to already existing map. But, for consideration going forwards, I think this would really push the world and storytelling of the game in a way that would be appreciated.
