I've been working on my own chapter for years, called the Golden Fist legion, silver base armor, with the Imperial Aquila on the chest,  and Golden left hand, a chapter boarding the line of heresy if the Greater Imperium ever found out why they become so technically powerful, while combining Tau tech to preexisting Imperial tech. All for the betterment of the chapter, and survivability or mankind to exterminate Xenon and heretic alike.

IMG_0795.jpegThe Sharp Teeth. I wanted to make Cave Man-inspired Space Marines. "Cave Marines", if you will.

I got to thinking about them after hearing the Flesh Tearers live on a dinosaur planet and was a bit disappointed that didn’t really reflect in their identity.

They use flame-based weapons because of the "Man Discovers Fire" trope and adorn themselves in teeth and animal prints.

They’re like the Space Wolves but instead of living in a frozen ocean planet full of violent megafauna they live in an arid volcanic planet full of violent megafauna.

I thought it was a fun concept.

The Scorching Dragons, a Salamander Successor Chapter hailing from the desert death world of Aroti U'Sellis whose Founding is unknown. Prioritizing pragmatism on the battlefield over their parent chapter's compassion, the Scorching Dragons have managed to keep their numbers high that they have a group of permanent Scout Marines known as the Leafclaws that specializes in communications. The Scorching Dragons symbol, a orange dragon is based on the Redsand Strider, a serpent whose venom gets used as a rite of passage for Neophytes.

They do not use Flamers like their parent chapter nor do they have the charcoal black skin. The Scorching Dragons also don't use chain weaponry, intstead opting to use a Power Fist, Lightning Claw or a Thunder Hammer. Like their parent chapter, the Scorching Dragons can remain in contact with their clan.

Their colours are a orange-yellow for the majority of the armor, black pauldrons with blue trim, a silver Aquila and a blue helmet. Their Company colours are indicated on their squad markings and left kneepad. Sergeant are indicated by their black right arm, Captains will also have a black helmet and Veterans will have a bronze helmet instead.

After the crossing of the Rubicon Primaris along with replacing any deceased Firstborn Marines, Lieutenants will instead have the black helmet while Captains use a bronze helmet and the Veterans now have a bronze right arm.

Flamebearers (Devastators) will have a blue right arm and half black and blue helmet and Cliffstalkers (Assault) will just paint their right arm. Company Ancients will paint their helmet and right arm green with their pauldron trim and left kneepad bronze.
