IMG_0466.jpegBeen thinking about this class idea for a minute now and I think I might be onto something. Even made an account so I can post this. My idea for a new class can be the “Standard Bearer”. In universe, the Standard Bearer is a singular space marine, who is responsible for carrying the Chapter Standard into battle for morale and support purposes. For gameplay purposes, the standard Bearer can be a strictly support role with minimal weapons because in one of his hands he will be holding the chapter standard (which can be customizable, i.e UltraMarines, Blood Angels, Imperial Fists, etc) so this class will be restricted to only using pistols/plasma pistols, etc. The support that the Standard Bearer provides will be permanent buffs to teammates health, shields, ammo, or weapon damage. However the caveat being that all enemy units will prioritize trying to kill the Standard Bearer over the rest of the team. In the event of the Standard Bearer being killed all buffs that the bearer was providing will be instantly taken from the rest of the team until that player respawns so the team will have to ensure the Standards safety, just like in universe. Since both of the Bearers hands are occupied the Bearer will have no melee weapons, similar to the heavy, and will use the standard itself for melee attacks/executions. (i.e Jamming the pole of the standard into the enemies chest/head). Of course execution animations  where no weapons are required can be used as well. As for the Standard Bearers Ult, I was thinking that upon activation, the Standard Bearer will raise his standard into the air and shout “For the Emperor!” and for the next 10, 15, or 20 seconds everyone on the team becomes invincible and immune to damage. Their undying love for the imperium temporarily empowers them to a new state and are able to carry out the Emperor’s will more effectively. If properly and timed and used correctly this Ult can save the entire team in a sticky situation. It’s still a work in progress but what do y’all think? Is this a cool idea? IMG_0465.jpeg
