There should be a preference feature which either let's you choose Heretic, Loyalist or random if you're not bothered about which faction you play as, as it's frustrating for people like myself who prefer being Heretic always being placed on the Loyalist team, and I'm sure there are Loyalist players who feel the same way about being constantly placed as a Heretic after spending time customizing their Marines, or not being able to use their Champion skins that they've paid for.

A lot of modern games, that don't have map visuals backing up which side each team spawns in, will usually let you pick your preferred allied and enemy team colors, so I don't think there are any good reasons why this shouldn't be a thing.

It wouldn't be a bad idea to at least make it possible to choose a side. Loyalists or Chaos.
When I go into pvp, I always get thrown for chaos, even though I want to play for loyalists.

I have no choice.

When there is no way to choose a side, there is no desire to play in pvp mode. Despite the fact that all weapons and abilities are the same. Someone wants to play for Chaos, someone wants to play for Loyalists. Random spoils everything in this situation.

At the very least, I want to pick a Loyalist on the barge and go in for him. Not rely on chance.

Quite adequate and realisable idea.
