Greetings!
I have been following various message boards about SM2 and it seems there has been a fair bit of toxicity within the community. It has also been my observation that the majority of users don't take advantage of voice chat for whatever reason.
So how do we reduce toxicity? By adding more positivity.
And how do we add positivity with limited communication? Optimize the emote wheel!
I can't tell you how many times I have wanted to emote "Great Job!" to one of my squad members for a particularly skilled play, or "Great teamwork!"; or even something as simple as a "Sorry, my bad!" for the times when I accidentally steal an execution or I pick up someone's ammo crate by mistake. I don't even care if there's a voice line to accompany it, just let me tell my brothers I'm sorry and that they're awesome!
I'll let you guys flesh out the details of if and how this is feasible, but there are definitely spots in the emote wheel that I've never seen anyone use that could be better used for more positive and engaging communication between players.
