The Block weapon reworks have been largely positive but as someone who has played with them on and off they still can't replace Fencing for me, or even Balanced weapons for one simple reason: parry stuns (and their gunstrikes) are too strong to give up.
As such I would like to suggest a few small changes to block weapons that may help make them more appealing to players:
1. Give them the same timing as fencing weapons. Blocking damage doesn't trigger gun strikes or even interrupt attack animations so a longer window would only serve to make the weapon easier to use and gain charges for.
2. If a player holds the block button let it keep blocking even if that doesn't build up charges. It's called a *block* weapon so let players be able to block melee attacks like Bulwark can with the shield even if it doesn't build charges while doing so.
3. When holding block give us a shield bash style push that does damage equal to a light attack for the weapon. This is to give the weapon the ability to create space in dense combats so they can have room to actually fight the enemy and not just end up blocking constantly because they don't have a way to consistently break the enemy attack animations.
I believe this would widen the block type's usage just enough to make it a more interesting weapon in the game without directly buffing damage for the weapon.
