At the beginning, I want to emphasize that the first part of the post comes from my honorable brother Sacul, and I do not want his idea to be forgotten from the feedback channel of the Space Marine 2 Discord.


" We need a better Endgame than more Difficultyoptions. T6 without a new Weapon-Rarity and only two Skins is pointless. Give us a System like World of Warcraft Mythic Plus Dungeons without the Timer. 


A unique Subsystem with different Tiers. How about keeping T1-T4 as base difficulties. T5 becomes a “seasonal” difficulty, where new modifiers are added and removed every two or three patches. Perhaps T5 could also be adopted as its own System with Subsystems.

For Example:

Lethal 1 = T5 current 

Lethal 2 = 1 negative Modifier added (formerly stand and fight together)

Lethal 3 = larger Waves more often + Lethal 2

Lethal 4 = 2 negative Modifiers + Lethal 3

Lethal 5 = Two Bosses at the same Time + Lethal 4



Still, we need something to grind. So give us a new Weapon Rarity: Ancient Relic (Red Color) New Perks and even stronger as Relic. We also need a complete Skin-Set that is unique to this M+ System and only available there.

That would give us a Reason to play those Endgame-Missions. You can't give us a new Difficulty level with just two skins, Focus. That's not how a system like this works. Think about it and don't use resources for Space Marine 3. We need a story DLC, new locations and overall new enemies. SM2 is in really good shape. You can use this game for several years. It runs very well on a very good engine. We just need CONTENT! "


Additionally, I will introduce a few ideas for possible modifiers.

For example:

  1. Swarm's Wrath: Majoris and Extremis are often or almost always enraged, which provides a stat boost to health, attack damage, attack speed, and movement speed.
  2. Feeding Frenzy: Primarily melee-oriented enemies appear, along with Ripper swarms (for this, you would need to temporarily provide the Flamer with limited ammunition as a pickup).

  3. Don't Blink: The appearance of Tyranid snipers and their firing frequency are significantly increased. Additionally, they dodge more frequently in melee and when under fire.

  4. You...: Bosses appear in pairs. When one of the bosses dies, the second one becomes enraged and receives the stat boost from the "Swarm's Wrath" modifier. Additionally, the bosses can call for reinforcements, or reinforcements will arrive automatically once the second boss is killed (triggered by the boss's death scream).

  5. Fight Elsewhere: Counterable attacks, which were previously signaled by a blue circle, are no longer present. Instead, attacks marked by a red circle are used much more frequently by the enemies.

  6. Formerly stand and fight together: The old perk in Tier 5, but with adjusted range so that Snipers, Vanguard, and Assault can also benefit from it.

  7. Ambivalent Blessing of the Emperor:  Contested Health reduced upon 70% if you're not close to teammates, but +50% if you stand together. Sniper and assault have bigger ranges (+5m) for the same rules. If you're close to mates you also recharge two armor charges instead of one. If you're not close to them, you cant echarge them. Healing from finisher and stims is greatly increased within this range but its massivly reduced out of the range


I couldn’t think of more off the top of my head, but creativity knows no bounds (many of the examples are related to the Tyranids, as I simply prefer fighting them over Chaos. However, I think some of these modifiers could also be applied to the Chaos troops).


I would like to point out one thing at this point, in case this post reaches the developers and team leads: Imagine a possible combination of Sacul's ideas and the modifiers (Lethal 5 + 2-3 negative modifiers). In this scenario, it's important that players also receive enough ammunition and stims. There are different ways to make a game harder without diminishing the fun of being able to blast everything away.

Thanks bro for sharing my idea and developing it further with your ideas! 
I like the ideas for the negative modifiers. I think our idea is at a very good stage. 
We have written meaningful additions and hope the developers will see this.
