As we all can see, every few updates we get higher difficulty with new challenges and rewards. I personally love this direction and hope it will be further explored in the future.  


With time passing, more and more players are completing every operation on every difficulty, as it becomes easier with practice and focus we can gain on every attempt, either successful or not. I hate to say that, but eventually game will become boring - I know it was said many times before but it is truth.  To prevent, easiest solution is of course adding new difficulty level with more rewards, new Ordeals for Data Vault and craziest stuff you could imagine to overcome during Operation. We are getting closer to it with every released difficulty but we are still far from point we should be in. If I can finish it on 2-3 attempts, or often on 1st one, then it wasn't hard enough.


I can see every time new difficulty is implemented, Developers are not sure if that's not too much; to my horror there were even cases when they came to conclusion it was too much and nerfed what was added. 


I would like to see difficulty designed without such concernes. Makes us feel like survivors from Instvaan, make us feel like Loken when he 1 vs 1 Abaddon, make us feel like Garro fighting deamon solo. Give us a chance to become Emperors Finest!


I have few ideas about this new difficulty. 


1. Basic reward - resources. People who would play it probably don't need resources at all, but still it is annoying to have 3 green, 7 purple and always 20 golden ones. So make completion of such Operaion reward us with 1 green, 1 purple, 1 golden. 


2. Completion reward - in my dream, considering the difficulty, we should get one cosmetic item for completing each Operation lets say 5 times. We have 8 Operations now, so completing this challenge would provide us not only with full set armor but also some weapon skins (for god sake, do not make it auto bolt rifle or bolt rifle one, we have enough already. Make skin for plasma or less used bolt weapons, or bolt pistol and chainsword maybe. Last time we got skin for knife - very good idea). 


3. New Ordeals - forcing people to play PvP to unlock everything is not best solution, especially when some Ordeals placed there are just crazy. Game is focused on PvE, so it should be possible to unlock everything by playing PvE, or PvE + SOME PvP. New difficulty allows you to put in game new Ordeals. Ordeals unlocks are based on enemies but you can make new tab with LORE. In LORE tab you can describe Primarchs of Chapters we see described in Heraldry section. 


4. Spawns and enemies damage - both increased.

On top of that, there should be 2 bosses spawning on this difficulty in every operation except the ones that end with Boss fight - Reliquary, Decapitation, Termination.... Obelisk. 

Chaos has only one boss for far, so we need another one.

Idea: Chaos Champion - either bigger marine in terminator armor with some more challenging move set or something completly new. You can make agile, fast boss with less hp - some Champion Chaos Vanguard of World Eaters, why not. Or Assault one. 


5. Introduce new Ordeal giving MUCH more data points - finish mission with Geneseed. I do not understand why it is not here yet. For completing missions on new difficulty with Geneseed you can unlock Saviour armor part. What it would be I leave to you guys. I would prefere chest armor but with cape for other classes than Sniper.

In general, I would love to see a difficulty setting, or any form of content that requires a coordinated group in order to clear reliably. Even with Absolute I was able to clear almost every operation on my first attempt with randoms, and I'm really not an exceptionally skilled player. There's never been a moment in this game where I've thought to myself, "This is really hard, I need to get my friends together so we can beat it", and I would kill for some content that would take me several attempts to clear even with a strong, coordinated team.


Give me something to really strive for, with a cosmetic reward that feels worth showing off after the first couple days. Hell, give us a solo option with its own rewards. Something that we can see somebody else wearing and think, "Damn, this brother's crazy". I understand that to an extent that was the intention with the Lethal/Absolute rewards, but with Absolute today being maybe on par with pre-patch Ruthless in terms of difficulty, it doesn't come close to the prestige of something like Halo 3's Recon armor, for instance.

Ah, I see you are man of culture as well.:) I have same feelings about this, there is no really difficulty in this game. I understand now everyone is Dark Souls player or enjoys this kind of gameplay but these who do, should have their room in this game.

1. The Survivor Helmet is only valuable if obtained under version 4.0, as that version was really difficult, and I am honored to have successfully challenged the high difficulty. 2. But the new difficulty level of 6 in version 6.0 has not surpassed the difficulty level of 5 in version 4.0, which makes me feel that the new accessories obtained by clearing the new difficulty level are not as attractive. 3. I think the higher the difficulty, the more attractive the rewards will be. 4. If the difficulty is too low and there is no challenge, the rewards obtained will only be like gifts rather than proof of honor. 5. It is suggested to set optional restrictions without adding new difficulty levels, such as adding friendly damage, leaving the team, and prohibiting armor recovery, to increase the difficulty level of N6 and challenge oneself.​

Oh yeah, I remember the amount of fun I had doing these mission on REAL Lethal with this cohesion mechanic. Reliquary was my last mission, I think I failed like 8-10 times before finally making it, such a big satisfaction killing this helldrake in the end.:) I miss this component that would give me struggle and satisfaction in current state of SM 2. 

And I miss it.:(
