PLEASE make Gunstrikes and Executions count as pistol/melee kills respectively

​I'm shooting the bug with a pistol, I'm trying to feel cool, and my cool ability says "kill a bug with your pistol and you get x!"

But that doesn't work, because the half a second difference between me parrying, pressing 1, then left clicking needs to be different than me parrying then left clicking.


If it matters for balance that much (in a game where you fight hordes and hordes of AI, not even other players), just use the same clause as things like Tactical's Versatility perk, "After switching weapons..." Otherwise it just feels like the game is lying to me, since it makes the distinction in writing between switching to a secondary and doing a thing, vs shooting something with the pistol, but not mechanically.

I'd say carry over from this, restoring 100% contested health via the Gun Strike or Banner should heal mortal wounds.

Am in favour of this, but, only with it being equipped if I am understanding that that is what you mean. Having a primary out but getting a gunsrike should not grant the buff (much as I dislike this I get it). However,  me having it out and getting a kill with it via a gunstrike should 100% count.

This is directly counter to what the idea is suggesting.  The stated idea is that gun strikes use your secondary, and thus should trigger perks related to secondaries, which would be a welcome change as opposed to the tedium of swapping weapons for a gun strike when gun strikes are already high risk/reward.

Should activate the effects of your secondary, or simply be reworded using other terms already in the game.*


I'm more offended by the language of perks than the mechanics. It's entirely adaptable from the player's side, but leads to disappointment.
