Banner doesnt need a nerf, it needs a rework

instead of an uninspired double the cooldown for the banner. Instead it should be completely reworked into providing AOE heal overtime while it's down. It would be more fitting for the lore of the game, where marines have a reason to fight around the banner, fight under the sound of the drums and the glory of being a space marine, not just pop it down at the end of a fight to get a heal. 


The game devs can figure out a reasonable heal value. But it absolute would be the best change you could make foe the banner.

I can agree with this to an extent though i feel like Bulwarks are not healers this will perpetuate the META for people expecting bulwarks to keep certain perks to make them a walking stem kit,  this would be a wrong direction expected to be a healer. but with the contested health is a chance to be a self heal. i think they need to have more heal options away from the banner, or change it to that your kills have a chance to give you more armor to make every one glow with the Emperors light and you huddle together killing and every one is just regening armor every one gets the 5th armor pip and as it goes down with damage every kill regens the armor and becoming a large wall that the 'Nids crash against. 

( i like the armor idea better as it more fits with the theme; with the shield of the emperor; the emperor light; and the armor is just a buffer for the health system as a whole, like the shield is a buffer for the bulwark and the bulwark shields his brothers. This only furthers that rolling theme..  )

PPS- cause other wise when the Apothecary does come out like they want. That one class will single handedly make the bulwark current META for walking stim pack obsolete and they will need to tweak this class AGAIN.. why not get rid of it now and help be a shield for when the Apothecary is ready to come out and be a true healer. ????

I think that's a great idea!  This is a real "bulwark."
 However, I can imagine that if contest health heals are removed, a lot of people will complain about not having enough ways to heal, so it may be necessary to make some adjustments, such as increasing the duration of contest health to give players more chances to self heal.

The idea wasnt remobing the armor, its making the perk thay heals contested health add a heal overtime instead of a huge contested health dump.

Sorry. I was agreeing with AllenSamhain. I should have used a quote. 

But I agree with you. I think we need to move the bulwark away from walking stimpacks in some way.

LOL,, great now i have Quartus in my head calling out  Brigitte's " Rally to ME''!! as he slams the banner down and the drums of battle start to roll with the emperors light.  in my head..
and i am not mad with that...
i didn't really play all that much over watch just the visual was amusing in my head.
