PC Player suggestion: Please implement a small deadzone for crane/boom arm movements when activing.
Issue: When activing crane/arm controls, the vehicle is immediately affected by minor mouse movements, creating unwanted changes to the vehicles lateral and vertical movement.
Resolution: Create minor deadzone at the initial point when activing arm/crane controls to prevent unwanted adjustments, allowing mouse users better control.

Agree on deadzone to prevent unwanted movement, or once it 'clicks' into place after moving a certain amount of 'push' is required to get it moving from there again.  This also provides player feedback on how heavy and deliberate the machine hydraulics are, improving immersion/realism.

Another thing that could be looked at is the similar problem with vehicle steering.  You want to turn a lot at the maximum wheel change, but only very slightly in the centre for stability and minor corrections.  In the old days, the steering gear ratio would actually differ across the rack gear, with differing teeth width to achieve this goal.  In RoadCraft machine axis control this  could be done in software by assigning zones of sensitivity depending how 'hard' the player is turning.  Near the middle it turns very slowly, amping up to a much faster rate when the control it pushed all the way out.  This is similar to the way that real machines work with joysticks, and could be adapted from the same calculations that are used in all keyboard+mouse wheel controls: The longer you hold the turn key, the faster it turns.
