There appears to be a shift in how DLC truck packs are being developed. The Western Star Wolf Pack is in a difficult position as many consider it to be “unfinished”. Some tweaks that would be beneficial for the Wolf Pack to make it appear more polished and in line with the recent lineup of dlc releases are as follows:

  • Drivetrain adjustments - All trucks in the Wolf Pack have AWD but no visible front drivetrain. It would be nice to have the AWD modeled but as far as I know, Western Star probably didn’t want AWD for these trucks. The easiest solution would to substitute the AWD in favor of differential locking as for some reason 2/3 of the trucks don’t have any sort of diff lock. This would be a change in line with the recent DLCs.
  • 1430 Addon Selection - The 1430 has a very long frame that is comparable to the new Mack Pinnacle that lacks full utilization. The truck could easily fit a 3 slot bed and I don’t see why it didn’t have it from the start.
  • Truck Reclassification - There is no reason for the 1424 and the 1430 to be classed in heavy. The 1430 should definitely be heavy duty where the 1424 hovers somewhere between highway and heavy duty. Also if I recall, the 57x still has the heavy truck icon.
  • Cosmetics - Not a big deal but the snorkel from the 1424 looks nice on the 1430 and the 49x. Also the double beacons on the 49x fit perfectly on the 1430’s cabin.
  • Unique Tires - Maybe a stretch but adding unique tires would at least make the 47x trucks look pretty nice.
