Maybe real balance of damage / defense for assault

This is really feedback /idea to fix some of the lackluster prestige perks listed for assault.


Current : Commendation -Reviving a squad member fully restore's jump packs charge and all armor segments

Replace with: Commendation - jump pack now has an extra charge.


Current: Boosted Recharge - Collecting an armor boost restores ability charge 25% 

Replace with: ( cant think of a name ) - Any use of jump pack grants 2 seconds of invulnerability or it could read while charging a ground pound in the air you are invulnerable to damage


Current: Duelist - Perfect parry and perfect block windows increased by 25%

Replace with: Duelist - a perfectly timed parry deals area of effect damage within a 5 metre radius cooldown is 5 seconds ( I know its intimidating aura transplant from bulwark but the name could fit also )


Any feedback is appreciated i tried to test all the assault perks and look for glaring weakness and suggest redo's that weren't super over powered in theory

really dislike a intimidating aura clone on assault. 

i think that he needs some form of survivability, sustain. even if you ignore that assault is generally underperforming there is also the issue that he brings no healing to the team, like vanguard and bulwark do. i have no concrete ideas but maybe instead of straight up healing he could get some sort of talent that generates small amounts of cHP for the team on certain conditions. 


some ideas:

-10% increased damage per missing armor

-50% more armor gain from any source

-10% ability charge on perfect dodge

-30% slower cHP decay

-some form of ammo sustain, maybe just mirror the mag-on-extremis prestige perk from bulwark

-secondary does not use ammo when shooting for x seconds after perfect dodge (to make actual use of that one signature perk no one uses)

-replacing the gunstrike hyperarmor with general hyperarmor for 10s after pp/pb/pd like vanguard/tac/sniper have it

-mirror vanguards armor on Q

-increase to melee attack speed, something that would be completely new to the game


not saying that i´m sitting on gold here, just throwing stuff at the wall really, but currently assaults prestige perks seem like a insufficient band aid for a class that already has trouble keeping up. 

its really weird to me that the community at large has been vocal about assault underperforming since launch, yet he only got very small buffs here and there and a nerf to his one actually good talent. and then there is vanguard (i mainly play vanguard btw, i´m not a salty assault player) who was never weak but got buff after buff after buff. 

i think that not only does assault needs prestige perks that are on par with the stuff the other classes got (ignore heavy, act like he isn´t there), he needs some reworking to his general passive tree.

Agree with Mosch, Assault dps is fine. The class need more staying power and better cHealth regen. Heck the 7.0 sniper is like 10x times more tanky than assault now.

Main problem is there no melee weapon that can restore contested health except chainsword. 
If you would trade some HP while you charge attack AND restore health after charged tHammer/power fist attack: that ll boost survivability a lot. 
For now, your main cHP return is just to shot in head with Heavy Pistol. & and it works well, but just shot at something much easier than prepare a good charged attack.
