TBH I feel like the content flow is extremely slow.

One mission and a helmet last month, a pistol this month, but for certain classes only? Why? And we have to wait a whole other month just to get the Dark angels cosmetics? Then probably January for the Raven guard, which some of the cosmetics and even the new enemies are already available via the Astartes mod. It seems crazy to me.

Dude, absolutely agree. Extremely slow content intervals. The fact that the pistol is only available for 3 classes is just dumb.

Makes me think of if the new helmets will only be available to certain classes too, ridiculous.

Why, there were no pistols that were available for all the classes anyway.

That's dumb too, I hope they come to their senses and let all classes have most weapons.

NO, just no, The content is paced approriatly, its not a live service game, and it hasnt been that long since the game came out. Dont compare it to games like Destiny or fortnite.

The pistol only being available to some classes makes sense and creates a more solid Class-identity. if every class had every weapon, you wouldnt be choosing a class, youd just be choosing an ability.

Firstly, the pistol was given to the classes with the least damage in order to even out this issue. If it had been given to the devastator, sniper and tactical, they would have had too many TTK. As for the content release - this was originally planned because such success was not expected. And to realize the money earned from success, time is needed, because bureaucratic red tape is not as fast as you think. Think about it at least a little.

Doesn't it seem kind of weird that modders have already been able to access items planned for december already? Seems like the devs could have definitely dropped that content by now.

They do less range damage for a reason, they have other advantages to even the scales on a higher picture, if bulwark with shield and power fist now gets volkite pistol to even a heavy bolter, would it  be even at all? I don't think so.

Pace of updates is slow but not because of it not being live service.

It's slow because game was released far before it was polished and now instead of focusing on more content which current amount honestly look like a demo of some game, devs have to do hot fixes and revert their own ideas which weren't consulted with players and harmed the game.

Biggest issue is that they got lost in their own project. Forgot that their engine is called "swarm" to the point that they would rather make enemies as indestructible tanks than increase ("swarm") amount of enemies, more lictors, more raveners etc. In my opinion they still do not get it.

PvP is left burried 5m below surface and it should be what keep players in a game. If private lobbies will just let you have more than 2 friends in a game then will it really be what we can call success? It's 2024, these features are common patterns in current gaming. They are not supposed to be too hard of a challenge to delay it way past release.

We're talking about lack of core mechanics so there's hardly any place for more content in a scale players would want. They try with scarce resources they have, but sadly I doubt the game will move towards what I expected this game to become when I bought it :(

It's common that stuff gets done long before they're released.
Stuff can sit in "storage" waiting for when they decide to release them.
What modders have done is technically "broken" into that "storage" and taken the items being stored for a later time.

Yes, the devs could've probably released the items sooner.
But they want to drip feed the season content. It's an active choice on their part.

People complained a week or two after the release that they "were getting bored" because there was nothing to do since they had no-lifed the game during that time.
If all the seasonal content would drop at once people would get bored within a week and then have to wait for about 3 months before the next season starts and new stuff will get added.
Drip Feeding the content means that people will at least have something new now and then across the span of each season.

People got bored so soon after launch because the game clearly wasn't done and is still extremely bare bones. You can easily clear everything this game has in just a couple days worth of casual play with a team of friends, and slightly longer if you're solo. To say nothing of the very small number of no-lifers, of which you most definitely are if you're on this forum like everyone else.

Fact is, this game is painfully mediocre and shallow. It feels like a game that should have come out 10 years ago, where it would have rightfully been called out as shallow and mediocre just like SM1 was.

And players who seemingly just think this game is perfectly fine with how it's going are going to be the reason it doesn't last beyond a year.

My 2 cents.

Since it’s not a live service game, no need to drip feed the content. Drop all you have for that season and let the player enjoy it at their pace. No need to keep them always playing since there aren’t micro transactions. When a new season with new content will be dropped the majority will come back anyway.

About the pistols (existing ones and the future one) being limited to some classes and is pretty stupid. Makes sense not having a sniper with an hammer or as vanguard with an heavy bolter, but pistols…

I agree on this.
However trying to look at it from the developers point of view, I could make a guess that they're doing this because making everything takes a lot of time.
So instead of pushing up the release 1 year or releasing the DLC's 1 year ahead when the majority of people have already stopped playing long ago and probably moved on and wouldn't return for a few cosmetics, maps and a weapon they decided to do it this way instead.

Speaking about money, you forget that the main money went to GW for the license and to the publisher, I don’t think that in fact a lot of money went to the studio developers, and as I already wrote, they are strictly moving along the road map, they said no changes in pvp until 2025, so it will be . In general, this is a rather strange situation, but it can be seen from their answers that there are no plot DLS planned and no new melee weapons either, because it is necessary to record animations and this means renting a studio and actors, it is doubly strange because GW pumped a lot of money into advertising Titus, taking into account all the material about him and the fact that in the animation from the creators of love, death and robots there will also be Titus, did they not believe in success? But the game was released very early

This game has turned out to be low tier, fan service shite.  Just uninstall it and count yourself warned that, having chosen Fatshark and Sabre, you can be reasonably sure that the staff at Games Workshop are technically illiterate and easily conned out of their IP.  Games Workshop computer games are, generally speaking, dogshit... this game continues the trend.

Its not even fan service considering the pathetic lack of content, completely ruining how these legendary warriors and their weapons are portrayed, and a complete disregard for lore when they feel it's worth ignoring. Usually to arbitrary gatekeep weapons and armor parts and artificially increase difficulty. This game is trash and the sycophants who gargle the devs nuts are going to keep it in the trash heap. Unironically this game is a shining example of "modders will fix it" and they already have.

I agree, it feels like AGES since 4.1. I really really really want some kind of update. This game has sold a lot and money should not be a problem. Give is Assault Bolter/Storm Bolter sidearm and the locked finishers too. Throw us some bones here Saber/Focus, game is great but the amount of content is very low and I've already maxed everything, and unlocked everything. Just play a few ops per week now here and there for fun. But no serious gaming anymore.

If mods can add stuff faster then you something is wrong. Also more customization please. More chapter icons, roman numerals and coloration options. It's easy to implement and takes very little work on your part.
