Just ran a ruthless mission this morning for the first time with the new patch (had to wait for St1cky's FOV mod to get updated before even bothering to play), and after the victory got the notification that mastery was reached. But upon returning to armory there was zero xp progress on the new pistol. All my other weapons during the mission were maxxed relic (melta and knife), and I had allocated the armory data point to the pistol and selected a perk before the match so it should have been getting xp to the first track.  

Anyone run into this glitch?

I have as well, I submitted a bug report on this. I have only had it on Ruthless difficulty and it's rare to get. Best anyone who sees this submits a bug report as well.

This was the title of a Reddit Post I spotted yesterday. Not sure if it's related to your issue or if it's even true, but if you did use an Armoury Data and you don't recieve any XP try this.
However I used Armoury Data constantly on the Volkite and didn't experience this so it might be random if people experience this or not.

this worked. swapped to my assault and ran a minimal, got xp to the track. thnx

I'm glad that it worked.
Hopefully this will get fixed sooner than later. Wouldn't surprise me if people have spent x numbers of Operation runs without even noticing if they actually got the XP or not.

PSA - so this bug is still in the game... I decided to level up the bolt carbine on my sniper. Unlocked it with data and applied first perk point. Ran a couple of missions and didn't get weapon xp... Tried the above "fix" by running a mission with the same weapon on my tactical, but after that mission still didn't get any weapon xp. So, it looks like the above "fix" is not working anymore or may work sometimes... Anyone else experiencing this BS?
