Just like the title says, defend Leandros view and actions in this post. For instance this is mine;

- There was no available chaplain or librarian

-He had seen the effects of corruption beforte

-He was green as grass and was one of those common Ultramarine by the book fanatics.

what do you think?

what do you think?

"Your Honor, the Ultramarines are a chapter of 1,000 Adeptus Astartes of Ultramar. It would be implausible to assume that out of 1,000 genetically enhanced super soldier raised in religious fanaticisms, not one of them turned out to be an absolute paranoid douchebag. Therefore, your honor, I petition to dismiss this case on the grounds that Leandros IS that one single douchebag. He is statistically JUST the dickbag-weasel of the Ultramarines, not a heretic. Thank you"

I dont know... the 2nd company has had other stuck up marines and even the new scottish captain is an absolute stock up. Anyways my guess is that Lendros had seen heresy corrupt someone already? and thus the paranoia? or he was stuck up on codex astartes protocols.

I hate him for what he did but I think two things really made him make his choice.

-He truly believed Titus had been corrupted by Chaos in some way.

-Sidonus dying on the mission.

Reasons why he is the worst brother

-He betrayed Titus after Titus had just saved everyone from a Chaos champion in the first game.

-All of Space Marine 2 he still questions Titus' loyalty.

I do think there is a path to redemption for him if we get an expansion about where Titus and Leandros go at the end of the game.

Was there any reference or source that there wasn't a chaplain with the 2nd company during the Graia campaign? If not then I am assuming there is.
Even if he had seen the effects of corruption, he was still a hypocrite by bringing up the codex here and there and yet breaking it by circumventing the chain of reporting since he went directly to an inquisitor. Titus didn't deserve getting tortured and then put in a freezer just because of mere suspicion.

I am pretty sure there wasnt one since he was by the book. Unless people wish to write him a way to absolute villify him due to titus being the the character that they like.

If he was truly by the book then he would have escalated his concerns about Titus through the chain of command within the chapter, not gone outside of it to report directly to the inquisition. He overstepped the mark and was misled by his own zeal and sanctimony.

As many other marines on the imperium, he probably refused to wait due to his lack of experience since he was still a green by the book battle brother. But now he has centuries of experience, reflection and chaplancy.

seems to me like leandros didnt weight things that much and was driven by impulse and death of sidonius.
