Dear Devs : i have some questions

Given that the recent community update received mostly negative feedback, i have to re ask those questions. If you can please give us a sincere and straight answer would be much appreciated at this point, given that many of us strongly believed and poured their money into this project.

As the thread says i have a few questions to ask directly to the devs . This is not a rant , i just want to be informed so that i can have a better picture about the future content of the game beside the roadmap and what you actually are able to do in order to improve it and i think those informations would be beneficial to the whole community in order to provide more transparent Infos and make up their minds about the direction the game is taking.

1) Do you have plans to improve/add more things than originally planned in the current roadmap and for the next one (and i mean way more than the current one )?

As of now ( for me personally) the current roadmap Is really poor content wise . Operations are drip fed and doesnt really add much to the game's replayability and engagement ( a good gameplay is not sufficient in my opinion, not in a game where the 40k ip is involved) . Many players asked for faces customization and to detach from Talasa squad in order to have more accurate space marines chapters customization and different modes ( such as bigger scale battlefields of 10+ players maps, raid assault etc)

2) if yes can you tell us what you are currently working on ? This also goes for the already planned roadmap we already know about

Would be nice and more transparent to know what you are currently working on ( what content comes first and whats coming after about the current season for example) way before the content patch drops ( not just few weeks before) and if changes to the direction of the game in general have been made and whats these changes are. Maybe showing us the progress of the development , i remember when you showed us the new Chaos concept arts skins , same should be for the development of the rest of post launch content in my opinion

3)What are your available resources for post launch content in both monetary and human resources side?  And how many people are currently working on the post launch content?

Many times you respond to us by saying " its heavy on resources" , " its too much of a work " for this to happen etc..  is it a money problem ? As we all know , the production costs of the game were less than half than Doom Eternal, stated by Tim Willits himself in an interview ( which was around 90/150 millions if im correct, if you have its 45 /75 millions  ) . With 5 million selling copies you should have done more than 400 million dollars , which way far exceeds the production costs , so if you can explain to us why many content requests are dismissed , ,negated or drip fed instead of releasing bigger chunks of content altogether due to the " too heavy on resources" reply  , because from my prespective , it doesnt make any sense, given the fact that you claimed : " there Is so much to draw and many expansion / content possibilities with the 40k ip" . And made us understand that , also thanks to our content ideas , much more would have been added. And if it is a human resources problem and you have the money, why dont you hire them to boost both the quantity and the speed rate(if possible)of the content drop ?

3.1)Have this huge amount of revenue being allocated to different games projects /elsewhere ?  How many devs are currently working on the post launch content ? Have most of them being moves to other projects ? This huge revenue is or is not sufficient for a bigger expansion of the game in terms of fresh content ?

I ask this because many of us poured our money into this game believing they would have been used to expand this game together in an evergrowing project where way more cool things would have seen the light, but it seems It wont be the case . Do you need people to hire , you dont have money to hire them or you simply have a different philosophy of the game vision ? Many people says thats not a live service and when the content is over you just play to something else . But to me ,a roadmap with up to 9 seasons ( at least judging from the datamines) in an online game is Indeed a live service game , not the other way. But anyway , that few stuff dropped in terms of content its not justified even if its not a live service ,  given all the things mentioned above . So if something happened or things are different please tell us.

4)Do you test your updates and play your game before releasing them ?

Many people are wondering this especially since 5.0 dropped . Is it a matter of scarce money and you cant afford to have a dedicated playtest team ?

5)What makes you dismiss ideas like Chaos marines dedicated maps ( or in horde mode if this is also the case ) firstborn marines ( given that we said many times that we do not care much of they have the same size as primaris) ? Is it a Games Workshop restriction or your own despite of what most of us want ?

And thats it for now . Again this is not a rant or a complain , i Just want to have more clarity on those subjects .I know that you could have already answered some of the questions , but please tell us here in a more precise , detailed and honest way , i think we, the players , deserves to receive answers to those questions to have a better picture of what the game will be but also what will never be, so that we can better make up our minds on wether its worth keep playing it or not. At the very end , we funded this game believing in it and i think its correct in our regards to give us answers. Thanks in advance

Saber is not very good at working with the community, and what they change in transparency in patches. I hope at the end of the year they will reveal to us the secret of what awaits us at least until September when the first season officially ends. Yes, regarding the date miners, the update for the order can be 1 cosmetic item.

Honestly, despite the raging success of SM2, I don't believe they will deviate from their roadmap except for small things like the lens change or face customization.  It looks like they are pretty locked in content-wise - which is unfortunate, because I would play this game so long as there was a steady stream of new content.

I share your same thought , and its a shame because as you said, the game has so much potential to become way bigger and diverse than it is now . Hopefully with faces customization they will have the opportunity to detach from Talasa squad/story and be more free to develop different content (like helldivers 2 open battlefields, but with 10+ players , wuould be crazy and id be play it almost forever) with properly customizable chapters . But i think we will never see that change of direction at this point

Brother will not openbattlefield maps, because in helldivers they are made by a generator, but here they are done manually, and helldivers maps are boring because this is modern AI crap with tasks, go destroy three nests randomly generated on the map

Yes you are right on the ai generated maps. What i meant is taking inspiration from open battlefields maps like helldivers but making them with space marine 2 assets. Or something like Planetside 2 (not that big obviously lol) or Battlefield game for example. I had a response from Numitor of Saber support about my idea of making that kind of map for horde mode. Seems he liked the idea alot and directly forwarded it to the dev team, so maybe there is still some hope

It does look like they will focus on the roadmap and THEN maybe we'll get some other stuff too. I chose to abandon the game for now and just keep checking on updates from time to time. There's no point in waiting without having fun and there are many other good games out there.
