If you had to take a course to lie to and scam your 5 million customers then Saber Interactive and Focus Entertainment are the people who you want to consult. 
Patch notes say: We reverted the values to pre-patch levels. Those are their exact words but if you look into the game files the parry windows (riposte) are not the same as pre patch 5.0. 
The parry window before patch 5.0 in the melee modifier file was 0.495s while now it is at 0.165s. So, 5.0 made the parry window modifier to be zero and back to 0.165s. Overall it is a nerf going from patch 4.5 to 5.1. You will not be able to parry as good as before and at the tail end of the parry animation you will get hit. And worst part of all this is that they blatantly lie to their customers.

And that's truly unfortunate.  There was no reason to change it.  It was fun, powerful and flowed really well.  It felt like Batman from Arkham series where you could just control the flow of combat.

Now it's clunky.  Sure, I am still able to survive and do fine in both Ruthless and Lethal, but I consistently miss parries from the whip warrior - that I know I should be hitting.

Who said I am complaining. I am laughing at the whole debacle and the incompetence both from devs and players xD

just bad decisions as usual, nothing new here. the devs have some weird hard-on for Block weapons and will do anything to get people to use them, including breaking stuff that worked and NOBODY asked for. I'm almost done with this game because of these asinine decisions
