It would be great if there would be a possibility to upgrade our game version. For example, my husband and I bought the Gold versions of the game at pre-order instead of Ultra because we didn't know how much we would enjoy the game. We do enjoy the game and play it a lot and we would love to be able to have an options to pay a bit extra and to upgrade our Gold edition to Ultra edition.

It would be a really good thing for everyone that is a fan and enjoying the game to have the chance to buy a better edition. Not everyone is able to make a one time big payment.

You can upgrade from the standard edition of the game to the gold edition just by buying the season pass. the problem is that you cant buy the ultramarines champion skin which is the only difference between the gold and ultimate editions of the game.

We both (me and my husband) have the season pass as we bought the Gold version of the game at preorder :D. 

Unfortunately for me, I can't play with the Ultramarine Champion armor for Heavy which is exclusive for Ultra version and Heavy is my main marine that I play. Would love to have an option to upgrade to Ultra for this. All Ultramarine Champion armors are available with the season pass, except for the Heavy.​

This. I got the standard edition at launch because like the OP I didn't know how much I was going to enjoy this game. Then soon after, I purchased the Season Pass for the additional cosmetics and never regretted it. I was disappointed to find out that purchasing the Ultramarine Heavy Champion by itself was not possible barring paying extra for the Ultra version. If that could be corrected, that would be awesome, especially since we have the Dark Angel Bulwark and now the Salamander Sniper.

Exactly! I was so confused when I tried to equip Heavy Ultramarine that wasn't available and I was very disappointed since it is my favorite... I honestly thought it was in the season pass and not an exclusive thing to the Ultra version. I really hope they would make it possible to upgrade our current version since buying the game again and paying 99.99 would be way too much for a single skin since I already have all the dlc...

That would be great.  I really enjoy the game and would buy that kind of upgrade in an instant.
