Just curious what are favorite difficulty currently?
Personally, I prefer playing substantial/lethal, it feels just about right in term of being challenges and fun. While I do like the amount of enemy offer in ruthless/absolute I feels like the enemy is too damage sponges for my liking.

Substantial for leveling up weapons.

Lethal for having fun.

Ruthless to die and learn from better players.

Havent win anything at ruthless, so still far away from Absolute.

I play on Minimal difficulty with Relic weapons because it’s the perfect way to roleplay as the almighty, plot-armored Ultramarines.

BTW, Ruthless goes after Substantial and before Lethal.

When I am helping my battlebrother level up some class - Ruthless/Lethal.

In any other case - Absolute.

I play only ruthless (leisure mode) and absolute (serious).

Ruthless to me feels like that sweet spot where I can relax and enjoy but am still being challenged and need to pay attention and be on my game. Lethal/Absolute is like "oops you missed 1 dodge or parry? You're 1% health...nvm you're down", its just stressful and requires a decent team for it to not feel painful.

I do love playing on average too! I can't tell you how many time I get challenged to high heaven in average! I feel like the AI knows that I'm a lvl 25 with maxed out weapons and so it throws way more shit at me, which is fun to just HACK'N SLASH through enemies. Especially chaos enemies on Average, nothing feels better than using a maxed out bolt weapon on rubric marines and just popping them left and right.

Same 95% of the time I just run ruthless with randoms, always keeps things interesting and you get all sorts from people that clearly know what they are doing to newer players or players leveling a new class. I never see players with "less skill" as a hindrance on Ruthless since realistically now that is the difficulty that is the "hardest" for the more casual player base with Lethal and Absolute being there for people that want more of a challenge. Ruthless currently feels the most balanced when you have a fully leveled class with maxed weapons. It is just hard enough that a bad slip up can certainly cause you to go down fast but as long as you are in the zone you feel really good and that "power fantasy" the devs like to talk about really shines through. (plus saving your brothers from bad situations feels really good)

Lethal is basically just Ruthless but with longer default death timers and no auto-respawn at checkpoint. I can't really tell much of a difference other than you more frequently get double extremis (that still happens in Ruthless, not sure if that is a bug but I certainly don't mind it) and your armor regen time is reduced for no real reason.

Only played a couple runs of Absolute but that was when stability was way worse and I never completed a run due to crashing. Felt okayish, didn't really like getting triple rocket terminator or triple biovore though, that shit is cancer.

Average. ALL weapons and perks are viable no matter how much the devs continue to nerf them. Also, the Power Fantasy is real brothers!

Main problem I have with average is the significantly reduced extremis numbers. Extremis are fun to fight, only mowing down majoris and minoris gets stale.
