I was always wondering why does Heavy have 4 sections of armor in pvp and 3 sections in pve like developers are trying to tell us that the Hive Mind or Magnus the Red ate 1 section and made Gravis pattern same as Tacticus in term of protection

This is just another reason why you should play more pvp, brother ;) But seriously, pve has a different flow, balance, I guess the developers figured out 3 bars would be enough.

Yeah I play pvp from time to time, I like that it is simple as pancake, remembers me about old good times with Half-Life: Deathmatch

The answer is the armor boost pickup used to drop like candy then they nerfed its drop rate. Back in month 1 you would have 4 armor a lot of the time in Ops because of the frequency of armor boosts. Frankly I think they should add some armor boost segment generation perks in place of the basically never picked perks or possibly in the prestige rank perk choices? We shall see.


They don't have the armor boost pickup in PvP so in exchange some of the classes have +1 armor when compared to their Operations versions.
