Feedback on the game

Hi there, not sure if this is the place, but most games don't have a singular place for feedback so figured i'd dump it here and hope someone reads it.

I love the game, but there are a few things that just grind my gears, or I believe should / could be improved upon


Parry / Stagger / Invul mechanics are not singular and logical

Example: when a chaos marine kicks me, I almost fall over and get a huge stagger. This interrupts my attack and does a lot of damage.

When I kick a chaos marine (heavy attack on chain blade for instance) he shruggs it off, keeps charging his flame area attack, and then does that attack 3 times in a row stunlocking me to death


If a kick stuns me, it should stun him, or, hell, neither should stun, i dont care - but this is nonsense, especially since I'm playing a Primaris, who's stronger than an oldscool rubicon (or, well, should be according to the books)


Melee is too weak and too slow

Only way to kill something big with a melee is to get up close, wait for him to attack, parry - gunshot, rince repeat. Actually hitting a majoris with a combat blade is like tickling... doesn't do anything. I mean the weapon does 8 dmg, i believe, and a machinegun does 4 dmg, but 10000 per minute, not good enough. Also a lot of the animations are too slow. Space marines are supposed to melee fight "like a blur" (this is in a ton of books) but I have no problem at all following the slow-ass-hammer.


Some perks are not in the right place

I like the fact that you can swap weapons mid missions. To adjust to rando teammates and such, it's a good mechanic I think. But some general character perks are very weapon specific (looking at you heavy). For instance, if I take the CHARACTER perk "hitting 5 with a melta gives a charge", makes swapping to a plasma or bolter sub-optimal. I believe weapon specific perks should be on the weapon.

Bonus feedback; general ammo recovery based on a weapon clip in a game where quite a few weapons don't have clips is a design mistake alltogether. Change it to a % I guess


Parry mechanic is wonky as hell when multiple enemies attack, or when the enemy is attacked by a teammate. Also hight difference does weird stuff

So I get a blue circle. I press parry. The moment the big boy goes for me, he's hit in the side with a plasma bolt and get a mini stagger. No enough to interrupt the attack, but enough to move him 3cm (2 inch?). For some reason the games seems to classify this as a different attack, and I get punched in the face... Not sure entirely what happends when 4 majors attack, but it gets real weird real fast and I don't understand the mechanics at that point. Which often results in me taking a beating.


Snipers can wallhack, but not all walls, not sure which

This one is frustrating, as the wall does remove the visual que that one of those bugs is shooting for ya, but it takes  a huge chunk of your life. Just 3 armor+ 50% life gone with 0 indication... Had it happen in the refinery area a few time, with the walkways and such


Las fusile is very picky what it can penetrate

Soooooo, we put 10 chaos champions behind eachother, and I can shoot all 10 of them by penetrating 9 (giggedy), and loosing absolutely 0 dmg in the process. These guys are in some of the thickest armor in the lore, which is superharderned super duper armor, and it's absolutely np for the laser - pewpew baby.

BUT! In some hallway there were a few sensors hanging from chains. Laser said nope. Railings? Nope. Fucking bamboo sticks? Nope.jpg. It's weird - fix it.


There's no solid comeback mechanic

So you got a boss in the first 5 min? Well, enjoy being on 1 hp until you die. Getting back from that is almost impossible. Unless you have that shield marine, which sometimes magically distributes life for no apparently reason, but I don't understand WTF is going on there because i thoroughly hate playing melee classes because of reasons above.

Oh, and I forgot: Please make me invul during pistol shot just like with a takedown, thank you
