operations mode made me abhor other players unlike any other game

in SM1 if I want to play without being interrupted by other marines, then I simply start a solo exterminatus. I genuinely like other SM1 players because when I join public exterminatus it's always because i want to interact with them, as there's no point to play public otherwise. SM2 however is WAY different. in SM2 it's impossible to start a solo operation because of how it always enforces 2 bots or 2 other players. if you get 2 friends to deploy with you and stay AFK, they'll be kicked for inactivity and will have to manually get ready every time you restart. the only way you can play without being interrupted by other marines is play public operations, and race other marines to waste every resource (stimulants, armor boosts, relics, etc.) so they can't use them to make them die, hoping that they'll stay and won't leave afterwards, making an annoying bot marine teleport after you. if they don't leave, it almost always leads to lots of animosity in the chat, which is exactly what you want, because it'll make them stay. it's so rage inducing when you finally get 2 marines to die, and finally have all tyranids for yourself, to then have them leave, making 2 bot marines spawn in and ruin everything. especially considering how you have to waste a lot of time to start another operation.

I've played many games thruout my life, yet so far i haven't played a game that was even close to developing such an extreme animosity towards all other players as SM2's operations mode. no other game make you choose to join public lobbies despite automatically despising everyone in there down to the guts and everything associated with them just to sabotage them. let alone how it's not even a PVP mode (it's where all the animosity resides in other games) but PVE, and it still turns into a cage of angry roosters ferociously gutting each other to the death with animosity not found in any PVP I've played. an absolute throat slitting fest.

the new cohesion / tight formation mechanic results in despising other players even more, as it makes it take even more effort to escape them to waste all possible resources and get them to die, as the game artificially weakens you if you get too far from them.

I have no idea if Saber did it on purpose, but I'm quite impressed. it's like an endless loop of boiling in hell, spending most of the time trying to do anything to sabotage everyone else, yet you still keep doing it because of the addicting amount of extasy you gain from finally getting to play the game the way you want, even if only for a little bit, just to be thrown right back into the wringer of suffering afterwards.

vote for this idea if you think that SM2 should cease inducing all that needless suffering and animosity between players.

I mean even being at the top of the charts in every category you get like..110 XP? You're fine, calm down.

You can just be the generous one in PvE... Make sure your team has what they need. Mark pick ups. Etc.

I'll swipe meds instead of giving it to high level bulwark because they have built in heals, otherwise I check inventories/health levels before I grab a second.

No such thing as a kill stealer. You as a team are there to win. Get it done.

Learn to carry the babies and you will feel much better. Every game, it's your responsibility to do it alone. Anything they do is just extra.
