This games idea of what difficulty should be is going off the side of graph in my mind..

Who hands out water pistols to kids but tells them they cant put any water in them and then ties their hands behind their back ?!

I don't want limited ammo refills,  I don't want to be forced to use melee more often on every class,  I don't want that broken melee system to have the only decent part of it nerfed (fencing) just so I take more damage.  I have 300+ hrs in game all classes at 25 with relics, but this patch has made me lose faith in the direction its going in.

Difficulty to me would be enemy waves that last longer,  enemy waves that are closer together.  More spawn points for extremis instead of the same places on every single map..  what we get here instead is straight ass cheeks.

Edit 1;  While were on the subject..  you want everyone to stand on top of each other to get armor back on this new difficulty just so all the damage is stacked and spread to all 3 players at all times..  that has made the melta even more op compared to every other option in pve..  I just can't..

Edit2;  So I've played for about 4-5 Hrs post patch now and given everything time to sink in..  this current formula of:  level up = become weaker = more difficulty,  just doesn't do anything for me.  Its boring,  its exactly the same as a lower difficulty except I take more damage..  WOW amazing..  Just give me more things to kill instead please.

The tacked on forced mechanic within Lethal is terrible to play around,  on some classes it completely defeats the point of that class identity as other people have pointed out.  There is no reason to play on that difficulty other than a helmet that matches none of your other armor anyway,  and before somebody mentions fun,  putting my hands in two other peoples pockets for 40 mins just so I can play the game is not my idea of fun.

The changes to melee weapons aren't it,  fencing weapons have completely different timing to the others so if you play heavy and then play a class that uses fencing weapons its different timing and the same success window anyway..  so now I use balanced meaning fencing and block are pointless to me personally now instead of balanced and block.  Its significantly harder to tank 3-4 melee enemies at the same time now but at what cost,  its definitely not as fun to engage in melee on higher difficulty but now I'm forced to because there is an arbitrary ammo shortage.  On a side note some of the colours are more messed up than they were to start with,  mephiston red on my right shoulder decals look really weird for example.

This has been my go to game since it came out,  but today was the first time I just played something else instead.  Not a big deal sure,  but what if the entire player base does that

The changes are horrendous.  Saber is making downright awful decisions. You wonder how some of these even made it past the brainstorming phase.

Completely agree.

This game needs a new enemy tier above Chaos/Nid Warriors instead of giving them more health. The bullet spunge has been mentioned 100 times already and still remain a fact; it's super boring.
I realize introducing new units takes a while and is already on the roadmap but something has to be done to save this game..

If someone's been able to complete a mission on lethal I'd like to know,  because even the old difficulties have been cranked up to the point of absurdity.

Couldn't agree more.  Not sure where their heads were at with these changes.  I thought we were in a pretty decent state, aside from wanting a bolt gun buff across the board.   Hate to see it.

I don't know what metric they were using to say Ops were too easy. They never felt easy to me, but the progression was a comfortable pace. I feel this patch was a decision to pad out play time as players were finishing content faster than their projected road map. Things like the Melta Bomb nerf was fine as people were cheesing bossses with it, but the increased spawn rates, reduced armor and weapon nerfs were uncalled for.

Whoever allowed the coherency change for the newest difficulty to make it out of the brainstorming phase and into the actual game needs to just give their head a bit of a wobble. Especially as they forgot that it means any last marines standing can't get any armour back at all. Just screams nobody actually sat down for more than ten minutes to think things through.

Bro i failed 3 times to GET 1 vìctory on Vox Liberatis, literally dying over and over again, my team being last man standing close to losing. Its just limited to Tactical - Bulwalk and Heavy/Vanguard that are DECENTLY effective. Assault is now a walking cake ready to have his health MELTED away faster than he could land his melee 🤦

Oh yeah i didnt get any cosmetics after that win so maybe wasted ?

100% A few changes would've been nice, but a complete overall and absolute decimation of certain class viability was not it....

I understand making Lethal the way it is & handing out to the very small minority of sweats that managed to speedrun or whatever on Lethal, but the fact that they managed to make the other difficulties even harder or a damn chore is proof enough that who ever decided this patch was a good idea needs their heads examined.

I like games being made by video game enthusiasts or passionate people, not sociopaths.

The noticeable increase in enemies is the one part of 4.0 that I'm on board with 100%

The downside is that now I have less armor and its harder to get armor back.  Playing sniper even on ruthless and just one tyranid warrior with venom cannon burst fire (not the sniper) can delete my armor before I can kill it if its already shooting at me.  Sure I can dodge its fire but you cant dodge and shoot at the same time and the las fusli needs to charge,  so you either lose all your armor in a fire exchange or lose it on the way to a melee exchange,  or go invisible and make it somebody else's problem.  That's just one enemy unit on its own,  then add into the mix everything else that is going on.  Previously you could use fencing weapons to reliably get armor back from the minoris enemies around you while dealing with bigger threats under pressure.  That's just not the case anymore and it has completely changed the way I play the game.  I'm playing a space marine,  I shouldn't be looking for right hand peeks
