In the most recent patch notes, I read a couple lines that said "this game is about the power fantasy". If that is true, stop putting the higher tier armory data behind a difficulty. Give us the option to trade up/recycle green & purple Armory Data to the next tier up. I still cant believe this hasnt gotten any attention from the devs yet. All this crying about difficulty could be MASSIVELY reduced if you would stop making us casuals play on Ruthless (solo or otherwise) so we can get better weapons. If I can run Avg Operations with relic weapons and I didnt have to sweat soak my ass crack in Ruthless to get it, I would be so much more willing to grind. PLEASE check your damn Ideas forum. This has been brought up like 20+ times already.

Yeah, it was very odd to see higher tier armoury data in the very same difficulties they are meant to be used to beat. It's like hiding a key behind the door which needs the same key to unlock. Lol

I think that this is a issue with perception. Green is just fine to do Substantial, and Purple is just fine to do ruthless, and gold is fine to do lethal. It all lines up correctly - iv done lethal with white weapons and still competed damage wise, yes it feels weaker and is, but its the difference between white and gold is on its base like 30% (10% each upgrade) i think with out considering perks at most. Perks and abilities granted through mastery are much more viable - which 4 perks on many weapons are locked behind exp or armory data  but you can still grind exp to master them and get the perks. if you max out your perks up to purple teir on any weapon its MORE than viable for ruthless at least. So in the end the door isnt locked it was always open. Its a perception thing, just go through the door and do your best. I do know that its harder for randoms, but honestly if its a bad group it dosent matter which teir weapons they have in the end its doomed to fail harder difficulties.

Im also the kind of player that will accept any gear level and any level for substantial at minimum. i wll take level 1s on substantial and level 5s with green weapons on ruthless - i know the rest of the community can be really gate keepy sometimes but hopefully its not a huge issue for you

If you think that green weapons are fine for substantial, we are clearly not playing the same game. With weapons like those, you can't vanquish the enemies fast enough without getting overrun. They are too fast, strong and durable to wipe floor with you at that point. And God forbid if the flying nid duo shows up, then it's game over.
