Why the RP cap?

I’ve written this twice now and the website has deleted my work Both times. Third times the charm I hope.  Why is RP capped at 990? You aren’t told about this when you play the game and I’ve just found this out the hard way. I checked my RP and it was at 990. So I thought I’d rack up more points during the double RP event by playing some ruthless games and never gave it a second thought. After 3/4 games I noticed that I was still on 990 RP. Meaning I’ve just wasted my time playing some rather tough ruthless games. I was using my maxed out heavy class so all Xp was wasted too. Why the cap? Why can’t I just save my RP points until I want to use them? And why did I have to waste this much time and effort to find this out? Why bother with a double RP event if you can’t earn RP past 990. That’s only 4 ruthless games and it nearly maxed. Increase the cap or remove it please. I’ve just found out there’s a cap on data too so I’ll make sure not to go over 20 on that. It just seems silly to me having a cap. Sorry for going on but this has annoyed me as I don’t have much time to play as is.
