Just downloaded new update for obelisk op. I was on a modded skyrim stint up until now, then I go to play space marine 2 and it kicks me from a pub game saying I have mods. I then google the issue but nothing pops up, so look in the Space Marine 2 Directory and try to find a mod folder or something that doesn't look vanilla but nothing pops up. I'm lost, is this a false positive or does it have to do with me modding skyrim somehow? I've always run vanilla SM2 so I'm confused. Help please.

I have the same problem as you! i havent modded my SP2 in anyway and i get kicked after the patch to......
I have tried to reinstall the game 2 times now, and i have delete some files in steamapps but nathing works so far.
im allso lost and need help! :(

This happened to my buddy last night. The man spent 100 USD on a game he's been consistently unable to play since the first big patch. (He is on Linux). I'd love to see how this gets resolves since he's basically done with Focus Entertainment altogether.

Same issue here on my linux PC as well. I use PopOS and I have the same problems.
Tried switching into a private lobby but i get the same error message. Also tried different proton versions but all fails.

Same issue any fixes ? Also how does the game not know if you have mods? cant it check its own files?
