Simply put, am I really only stuck with buying a 100$ edition of a game I already own in order to get the Heavy Champion? Or are we gonna get the chance to purchase it like any other Champion Pack?

So far there is no news about players be able in future to get Heavy Champion Pack.
I think it was exclusive to said edition of the game and since devs said there will be no way to upgrade your version to this version later, I guess you are locked out FOR NOW.
But don't lose hope, all devs love money and many people would like to buy this Champion as they buy other ones so I think there is big and reasonable hope it will be purchasable in future same as other Champion Packs.:)

Unfortunately, the Ultramarine champion pack was only available with the game's Ultra edition. It is listed even in the Microsoft store, but you cannot purchase it separately.

I would assume they will realease it after either season 4 or after they have released all other champion packs as they seem to be going down the list of the classes
