-Equip armor pieces unlocked in any class across your entire loadout—for example, use that sniper's cloak with any class! 

Introduce painting and color customization for specific armor parts, allowing players to craft unique looks.


- Add more melee weapons for all classes to enhance roleplay, like equipping a tactical class with a knife.
 Unlock the ability to use all sidearms with any class for more versatile loadouts.


 -Different armor types (Phobos, Gravis, Tacticus) traditionally serve specific roles, but allowing cross-class options in private sessions keeps the balance while enhancing player satisfaction and immersion.

While this is a nice idea, this isn't really possible without breaking the lore. 
We take lore compliance very seriously.

they take the lore very seriously but we have tan/brass iron warriors for some reason instead of darkish steel and gold lol

I would love to use the some of the bulwark pauldrons, legs, arms & legs as well as some of the assault pauldrons, arms and legs for my tactical. Main reason for this is assault has the best pauldrons that allow icons to still be displayed while adding flair to the rims as well as having a white text version of the legs which the tactical doesn't making it hard to have the tacticals current text legs as imperial fists for example. The assault also has a slight variant to already existing tactical chest pieces.

What we're really looking for is the designs of the other classes armours to be available across all to maximise customisation as right now most of the icons are hidden for some classes due to them not having a pauldron or leg piece that allows them to be properly displayed without having to use the default level 1 version.
Just making the designs cross classes and available for both left and right sides would give us a lot more room for making the character we want and also technically give us more customisation options than all their prior packs put together which would win the favour of the community (easy win for the devs by reusing already existing assets that're already rigged and ready) considering the constant nerfs they've put out lately it definitely wouldn't hurt.

Man the saltiness of people on here is why I don't spend much time on the page.   Rabid fandom and toxic behaviour is why so many franchises right now are suffering.  Just have fun and enjoy the game.

Someone mentioned that they probably don't want stuff clipping, as a technical reason. I would agree except that literally doesn't gel with the precedent set within the game as it is.


play sniper, pick what ever cloak you want. equip Deathwatch Shoulder Guard. notice that the cloak clips through it in a bizarre way.


Now, in al honesty, i do not care. I'm death watch, and damn my sniper will wear that heraldry, clipping or no clipping. and i doubt i am alone. So i ask, is it technically difficult to add the armour customization talked about, I mean the clipping isn't an issue, from a gameplay stand point. I think tat the consensus would be "Damn I Look Cool AF!!", not "Aww, my shoulder looks a bit weird because my (Insert armour piece) clips (Insert other armour piece)".

i dont want other classes armor, however i do want to take bulwarks tabard and snipers cape and their hoods for use on other classes.
hopefully in future DLC and content drops they can have more cosmetics of the stuff you put over your armor.

Lore so serious i can wear deathguard colors and icons without being executed on the spot. What a dumb reason, just say what the real problem is. You probably broke something on a technical level and now it's not possible.

The main problem I could see on a technical side with this would be clipping since things like the cape are modeled specifically for that armor type. With how much physics are involved and the clipping likely caused from shape and size differences, copy-pasting pieces from one set to another would be a bit of a hassle.

In the lore the Mark X "Tacticus" armour is modular. The various patterns, Phobos, Omnis(which is not in the game currently), Tacticus and Gravis, are created by adding or removing layers of armour and systems. So in theory you could change some of these parts between classes. However this would effectively change the class also, since each pattern of Mark X armour is set up for specific combat roles, aka Classes.

So while an interesting idea, I have to agree with Stag09 on this one.
