It would be quite entertaining content to watch when your friends get killed by AI, with animations showing heads being torn off or bodies being split apart right in front of you. LOL

I haven't seen the revival beacon in Space Marine 2, but I would guess it might be implemented as a drop pod, similar to the lore.
