Indomitus tactical dreadnought "terminator" class

My request is as the title suggests, I would like to be able to play as a tactical dreadnought or "terminator" armored marine specifically the indomitus pattern tactical dreadnought armor.

the types of weapons available would be, the storm bolter and other combi weapons as secondary, these other combi weapons would have a bolter half for gun strikes (as shown below) and an assortment of melee weapons like a power fist, chain fist, power sword, a thunder hammer, and storm shield, no primary for obvious reasons, perhaps GW could for once throw someone a bone? (that would be nice) this class could use gadriel's battle cry for the terminator class's ability as it is much less powerful but pretty useful for a terminator class.

In pvp it would be restricted to one per squad for balance reasons, now the reason i think the indomitus pattern tactical dreadnought armor should be used is fairly obvious the lower durability and higher commonality is perfect both balance wise and lore wise as the player durability would be lower than the scarab occult terminators, proper balance would be higher damage resistance compared to the heavy class and four bars of armor in both pvp and operations i feel the added durability would be a good excuse for making the armor boost less useful for the terminators in operations, mobility would be lower as the player is in a massive suit of armor which would restrict movement only by disallowing dodge rolling but restricting the player to the hop like the heavy class, the idea is that the terminator has less dps than the heavy and is tougher but lacks the heavy class's iron halo shield or the regenerating and reviving flag of the bulwark , there would be no insane movement penalty as that would be unbearable and unnecessary, I would assume the default look would have a white helmet as the codex astartes specifies that veteran troops have white helmets as depicted below.

in conclusion i would love to play as a tactical dreadnought marine, that is all.

4 months later. And this post isn't a "must have"  do any of you guys think will get a Terminator class or others that are highly recommended.

I do know it takes time and resources to make any new class and weapons.

Gravis should have 4 armour segments. Terminator lore accurate should have 10, but in-game, at least 5.

Tactical Terminator should also have heavy plasma cannon as option, we can also consider heavy grav cannon for future update.

Both Tactical and Assault should be given chainfist as option with AOE radius damage + bleeding & armour reduction for enemy who got direct hit.

For Assault we could consider power axe - it was a thing with tartaros pattern, so we could bend lore a little to provide more than two armament options and give power axe and chainfist as 3rd set - I see this in such manner: overall damage would be lower than damage of lighting claws but instead you could inflict 3 types of damage in one combo - AoE + bleeding + armour reduction from chainfist and slashing + ignore the armour from power axe. 6.jpgAnother option is double chainfist, but this is not the end.

In-game we have Minotaurs chapter, right? Their Chapter Master is Asterion Moloc - dude is fighting in terminator armour and he has a shield and a power spear. Why not give it as playable weapon? Power spear can be really cool, with ignore armour, longest range of all melee weapons, medium damage and high speed for quick attack, and slow powerful attack breaching all blocks and giving extra bleeding damage because it literally pierce enemy.Moloc.jpg

我认为四块装甲太少了。终结者应该至少有 5-6 块装甲,而 MKX G 应该有四块装甲

I've seen some really great ideas for a Terminator class but this one maybe the best fit for this game this class could be challenging because it's not as fast or agile as the rest of the other classes. Some people might not like a Terminator class in the game but that's there opinion and you can't change that it is fine. 


P.S. really like how everyone is suggesting different types of classes for the game.

interesting idea though I would imagine they would only have 1 terminator class, I personally like the idea of a missile launcher for an ability though GW would never let us have anything that cool.

I wouldnadd we need powerpikes and wrist mounted storm boltors because I want to be a grey knight and I think removing dodge but keeping parrying and gun strikes would be a good balancing mechanic. I do think they should have perks focused around gaining more armor so they can feel like a walking tank. Whether they are more specialized into crowd control or single target I leave up to the devs but I would love terminators at all

to upvote click on the symbol next to the point number at the top of the page underneath the banner it's next to a star for following the idea and a book icon for a thing I have no idea about.

We already have a Terminator animation rig in game too with the Scarab Occult Terminators. It would still take a lot of fiddling and a ton of new animations and weapons, but it should be totally possible.

i just made a similar post, although i didnt put anything about gun strike cause that level of reflex and Agility is too fast for a terminator to have. idk how to link to my post but we both want the same thing. TERMINATORS BAAABYYYYYY. im upvoting all terminator posts as soon as i figure out how to upvote 😂 so many people started with space hulk back in the day. its crazy there isnt terminators already
