This class would be able to act a like a support whilst also keeping up with the rest of the team.
This might be a good option as there is also a chaplain model ready to go from the story.
I think the ability could be something to do with inspiration (giving the team buffs). These buffs could be quicker melee speed, more melee damage, more contested health regen and damage negation. The players should get this buff if they are within the Chaplains AoE. All these different buffs could be chosen from the perk tree allowing adaptability towards your teams playstyle.
I also think the Chaplain should have his ability taunt the enemy which then make all the nearby enemies attack the chaplain. Using this taunt feature the Chaplain's ability (Inspiration) could become stronger based on the amount of enemies around the Chaplain. This would create some good teamplay moments to change the pace of the fight.
