With the director's note on the latest patch stating they regret making Bulwark's banner as potent as it is, and how they want to look at ways to rework that entire perk column without community pushback, may I suggest this:


Add an inherent heal to all Classes for Majoris and higher executions.


The reason Bulwark's healing banner is so potent is because, particularly on higher difficulties, taking chip damage little by little is almost unavoidable. Contested healing isn't strong enough unless you're using a melta or plasma weapon, and melee contested health regain is laughable. Additionally, getting rocked by a big hit staggers you long enough (especially if you get staggered into a wall) that by the time you get up there's not much contested health to regain anyway. Stimpacks are few, and better used to clear mortal wounds rather than just flat healing because that respawn timer is a mission killer. Add in things like cultist snipers whittling your health down and Zoan/Neuro beams that are still too difficult to reliably dodge, maintaining health is nigh impossible for anyone but Vanguard and Bulwark. Taking these big hits is sometimes unavoidable regardless of skill, BUT, playing skillfully after taking a big hit should be rewarded by regaining that health through executions, because even with contested health regain you eventually get worn down.


My idea is to give all Classes a 5% heal on Majoris and Extremis executions, and 10% (maybe 15%?) for Terminus. Then, make Vanguard's lvl25 5% healing on Majoris or higher execution perk stack with the inherent 5%, and the people who want the 10% back are happy. It can also stack with Unmatched Zeal without being too OP. This would allow skilled players the ability to maintain their health when they've taken those unforseen big hits that we've all experienced.


With these changes you'd be free to completely rework that perk column, opening up new options for the Bulwark to be the Emperor's shield he was meant to be. It also paves the way for an Apothecary/Chaplain healer class that wouldn't step on the Bulwark's toes.

No. For the love of God no.

We don't need the game to be easier. Play on a lower difficulty if you are really struggling that much. Or if you really need to play absolute the vanguard already has inherit healing!

I will support your idea ONLY if they remove the bulwark ability. But at the same time, I don't want them to touch it. he's a support and does well at his job. I would prefer having a class that heals everyone than everyone having the perk to regenerate

This please, and yes, remove the bulwark ability too. They could make this game so much fun with just a few tweaks here and there and this is the biggest one imo.
