Ammo economy can already get pretty crappy with how many enemies there are, as well as how tanky they are.
This will only hurt the weapons with already poor ammo economy or high TTK without adding any meaningful challenge, imo

If you implement this and/or higher health, I worry that some classes could be pushed out of Absolute. What if you restrict ammo and increase health, and then you spawn multiple Zoanthropes against a team that has a Bulwark and an Assault? You better have a Sniper/Heavy or you might legitimately run out of ammo and not win the fight.


Right now, it feels like there's no real reason to restrict what classes are brought (as a community) to these modes. That needs to be protected.

i think it would be more enjoyable if instead of making enemies absorb millions of bullets we instead extend the wave

Probably needed especially if looking at adding more mobs/making units more aggressive. Plus who doesn't like unloading a wall of rocket powered lead.

Again, our weapons suck. More ammo is better. We like shooting, let us shoot. Learn for Helldivers 2. They kept taking ammo away to try to "balance" things and players hated not being able to shoot their weapons. Players are fine with slightly underperforming weapons if they can make up for that with volume of fire.

I think current ammo economy is well done + limiting ammo even more would cripple ranged classes and melee classes as well. Imagine being bulwark and you need to give all ammo to Sniper or Heavy or Tactical. And then Zoans or Neurothropes arrive, you are basically useless.

I think there's a bit of misunderstanding here:

The way I read it they want to implement ammo refills being MORE LIMITED (less ammo in total),
not having MORE AMMO REFILLS that are limited (more ammo in total).

Total agreement here, the fact that we are able to blend all 6 classes together and not have a “meta” of gear and required classes makes this game an absolute treasure. I think personally there’s no need to reinvent the wheel here.

this poll has unclear wording
does "more limited ammo refills" mean more limited ammo refills (more ammo boxes added to the level) or 
more limited ammo refills (less ammo in the box)?
completely opposite meanings possibly interpreted from the same wording.


I'm taking it as the later and the result would be less ammo in the box, which I vote no for as it punishes certain classes more than others, as assult and bulwark have less ammo to begin with. and heavy is reliant on ammo as they don't have a melee weapon

inaugural comment for me here. FOR THE LOVE OF THE GOD EMPEROR. Please can we actually not have such a dry desert of items? There is already barely anything it forces me to always rely on extra ammo perks and weapons. Running tactical or squads always picking heavy. Please restore a little extra gear on the higher difficulties. That honestly might solve some of the problem.

Okay so does this mean more "limited ammo refills" as in more caches or as in "more limited" ammo refills, meaning the refills we do have a even less?

Припасов и так мало. Порой уже приходиться биться ногами в рукопашную . Плюс попадаются игроки, которые сметают все по пути и сливают в пустую весь запас

Hard no. The current meta game on Absolute is already to take as many perks related to ammo and equipment restocks as possible because ammunition and grenades are that scarce. I've gone multiple Absolute missions where I've never once seen a grenade of any kind spawn.

Sorry but "more limited ammo refills" is a bit confusingly worded imo. Does this mean more ammo refills or less ammo refills?


I think here should be more refills, especially if enemies are getting a potential health buff.

Ammo for most classes is already stingy enough as is. And equipment and lunch boxes just as much. Ranged classes would be pointless to be as you aren't going to be getting any ammo if you restrict it even more.

If you make it to where the ammo boxes are player specific. So when the guy who only needs 3 bullets to get Max ammo, im not left with nothing. For this to work the ammo boxes need to be for each player.  Someone points out ammo, They take it, But it would still be there for me aswell.
