​Hello Space Marines,


Update 6.0 rolled out last week and we’re closely monitoring how it’s going. We’re happy to see that the new added content (both cosmetic and gameplay wise) are liked, and also to see that the perk balancing are the source of many discussions. 

On the flip side, we noted a number of crashes and connectivity issues that were introduced along with this update, so we’re planning to release a hotfix as soon as we can.


Regarding the balancing changes, we saw your feedback on some of the changes that we’ve made, most notably on the “Invigorating Icon” perk for the Bulwark, which should now double the recharge time for the Banner.


However, it turns out that due to a bug, the 100% longer cooldown is not applied and this perk works exactly like it was pre 6.0. We still think that this is a very strong perk and requires tweaks, because with certain team perks you can bring its original cooldown from ~120 seconds to ~20 seconds in combat situations. 

This means full heal every 20 seconds and no other perk in the perk tree can be close to being this effective. But we do hear your feedback about the nerf being too harsh and we will take another look at it when we fix the cooldown effect not applying properly.


Another issue we spotted is the Spore Mines spawn rate: we saw an increased spawn rate of spore mines. This is not intentional and is a bug that was likely introduced along with Biovore. There were no changes regarding AI Director in this area and it seems like spore mines spawn for much “longer” time rather than more “frequently”, again which is not intentional.


These 2 bugs won’t be fixed with the next hotfix, as it will only address connectivity issues. 


Plus, we would like to point out there were some important gameplay changes that didn’t make it into the Patch 6.0 patch notes (the patch notes has been updated accordingly):


Assault Perk: Wings of Flame 

•  Now guarantees a perfect dodge on Jump Pack dodge in addition to all other effects


Bulwark Perks:

•  We’ve moved some perks around the tree so it would be possible to create certain builds. (i.e. it was previously impossible to configure your perk tree to make a banner that buffs your team mates a lot, because some of those perks were mutually exclusive.)


Vanguard: Grapnel Launcher

•  Can be now used on Zoanthropes and Neurothropes.

No idea if this is a glitch or not, but the Salamander icon is not available for the right shoulder pad. I was trying to make a Death Watch Salamander, and when I went to select the icon for the right shoulder pad, it is not an option. Is this a glitch or was this deliberate?

The wings of flame perk does not give you a guaranteed perfect dodge though, is that also a bug?

Please let the 100% more cooldown on the healing banner.

Even with this, it's the best perk in the game by a landslide, even in reddit it's agreed on. Yeah people are pissed but thats because they can't full heal on demand in a game where health is supposed to be the limited ressource.

This perk is an error ro begin with, a shield of sort would have been more appropriated if you really wanted some sort of longevity, not some pseudo god mode on demand.

No wonder that I couldn't feel a difference in the timer of the banner.
I'm curious as to those individuals that complained that the increased timer on the banner was very much noticeable and made playing Bulwark no fun.

If they think that a perk that works the same feels so much different, just wait til a real change happens.

I think there are a few missing - Ravenwing and Deathwing are also missing from the DLC pack, but the rest that came with it are there (all the Angels etc).

Will this hotfix include fix of crashes on Xbox Series X ? If not then when major stability issues will be fixed on Xbox Series X ?

It would be great, if you could have a look at the optimization. After the 6.0 update game somehow runs even worse than before. Appreciate the communication tho.

It is great that we can now grapple unto Zoans and Neuros, but it doesn't seem to stagger them in the slightest. They just keep shooting, which makes grappling to them pretty much useless anyways and maybe even just get you killed.


If they don't get staggered by us grappling unto them or ideally even fall to the ground for 1-2 seconds, I feel like it is kind of useless and dangerous to do so.

I really hope this gets improved and at the very least a stagger is added, ideally even as mentioned them falling to the ground for a few short seconds.

This is a rather small issue, but I noticed that the Salamander chapter insignia is not available on the right shoulder (for any Deathwatch players out there). Is there any update on if/when the Sons of Vulkan will get their insignia?

​wouldn't it be easier to make the banner be completely unaffected by team perks? because that is the issue is it not?


that way the cooldown is not too harshly adjusted and "inner fire" does not turn it into a spammable perk during higher difficulties

So it sounds like the issue is the interaction with other perks causing a very low cooldown - the solution is therefore to put a hard limit (i.e. a floor) on what the lowest cooldown for this perk ought to be so it doesn't go lower notwithstanding the effect of other stacked cooldown perks. Increasing the cooldown on its own is a ham-fisted way to go about it.


Please just put a floor or cap on Invigorating Icon's cooldown (i.e. no less than 50% of native/base) and leave its native/base cooldown as-is.

That is not implemented yet, the list above are things they are planning on patching in at some point after they hotfix the connectivity and crashing issues (which as noted multiple times is all the hotfix is intended to address)

Please add stattracking for each individual enemy in the data vault. Looks like the framework for tracking specific enemy kills is already there since many ordeals require it. Would be nice to see how many enemies I've killed (would be cool if there was an assist section as well that tracks if you did at least 1/3 of the enemies health)

Where's the Salamander icon for the right pauldron? Where's the Mk VIII without the Ravenwing ornament? 


And what about the Boltrifle Grenade Launcher you guys have murdered? From 7 grenades down to just 1 per refill. The most stupid decision besides the Salamander Champion. 3 grenades per refill would be enough. Yes it was overpowered with the Auspex but that "nerd" was way to much, your whole balancing is nothing but trash. Instead of working on the not so popular perks you nerd and destroy the good ones everybody plays because it brings the most fun.

This perk is also outshining the competition, it should be reworked. Limited stuff shjould stay limited, the existence of thing like this perk or invigorating banner providing very scarce ressource make them must take, and everything in that is wrong.
