This is unbearable.

pre-3.0 patch, we at least have the ability to walk to the mat on the floor, now it is just a blind simulator.

Also seeing this on xbox. Very hard to start a game. Are your metrics showing a drop in games after the rollout of the new patch?

Oceania (Aus and Japan) Xbox Series X PVE Operations. Issue began 2 weekends ago 14/09/24. Has remained the same in the newest update available to us on Series X. 

 
Issue for us when we are in a group of 2 or 3 of the players are on Xbox Series X, we all load into the same lobby, host selects mission and we all move into starting rectangle. Then the cutscene of the drop ship taking off plays and fades to black screen. Screen remains black and we hear the background noises as if we are still on the battlebarge. We can move around and hear the steps of our characters. 
 

Then one of 2 things happen: 
 

1. The screen remains black and we can hear the battlebarge noises and our footsteps when we move. Cannot take any action within the game, not even pause menu, no interacting with the mission select terminal or the class select/edit terminal. Only the console menu (xbox jewel button) works to bring up the console menu and quit the game. 
 

2. Instead of the screen remaining black, the whole party loads back into the battlebarge, but can only walk around. The rest of the game functionality doesn't work, no pause menu, no interacting with the mission select terminal or the class select/edit terminal. Only option is to use the console menu (xbox jewel button) and quit the game. 
 

A work-around is playing with one of our friends on PS5(In Japan, running an Aus PS5, recently moved there), (the other party members are still on XSX) when he hosts it works, after loading and playing the cutscene where the dropship takes off, it then loads and plays the loading screen where you are sitting in the back of the drop ship on the way to the mission with your squad, and successfully loads the mission. 

This black screen bug is unbearable; it genuinely makes the game unplayable. I've seen that there are work arounds - "move 10 steps forward", "move forward for 5 seconds", "move forward 7/8 steps, then go left 1 step"...can you just...fix the battle barge bug in the first place?
